Films for Humanity
Films for Humanity is a London film studio making powerful short films for small charities, free of charge. We are building a small marketing team to help our founder share our films with the world: social media, newsletter, CRM, PR, and community. 2–4 hours a week, remote.
What difference will you make?
Small charities do extraordinary work, but most cannot afford to tell their story on film. Films for Humanity changes that. We make free, professionally produced films for charities with an income under £150,000, and we take those films into schools to start conversations with young people.
A film only creates change if people watch it. Every post you schedule, every newsletter you send, and every journalist you reach helps a story travel further. More people understanding a cause they had never thought about, more support for a small charity, and more young people seeing difficult issues handled with honesty and dignity.
Visibility also funds the mission. A recognized brand makes it easier to secure the sponsors and grants that pay for free films, and our ambition is to support twelve charities a year.
You will also grow. You will work directly with our founder, gain hands-on experience across social media, CRM, PR, and community building in a real film studio, and see your work in release campaigns for films that matter. We are happy to provide references and LinkedIn recommendations for volunteers who commit for six months or more.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for self-starters – people who see what needs doing, take ownership, and follow through, without waiting to be asked.
Most important:
- Reliability: You do what you say you will, when you say you will.
- Experience or strong interest in at least one of our areas: social media, newsletters and email marketing, CRM, PR, or community engagement.
- Comfort working remotely and independently, with a short weekly check-in.
- Confidence with digital tools, or a willingness to learn our CRM (GoHighLevel) and scheduling tools quickly.
Also valuable:
- Content skills: Writing, Canva or graphic design, or short-form video editing.
- Experience in film, media, the arts, or the charity sector.
- A warm, collaborative approach, and a commitment to telling difficult stories with dignity.
This is a great role for marketing professionals who want to give back, career changers building a portfolio, and students or graduates in marketing, media, or communications. We warmly welcome applicants with lived experience of the issues our films address, and people from backgrounds under-represented in film and media.

What will you be doing?
Films for Humanity has produced six films since 2019, on mental health, domestic violence, drunk driving, kindness, Black history, and conversion therapy. In 2026 we rebranded from Filming for Humanity, and in 2027 we are growing: registering a charity alongside our Community Interest Company (CIC), forming a new leadership board, and releasing our major production, The Faceless Dance of Love.
