About the Role
This is a 3-month placement supporting Kainé Management’s marketing and digital storytelling. Help us grow our community reach through social media, newsletters and creative content. Use your marketing skills to boost engagement, share impact and empower local people.
What Difference Will You Make?
Kainé Management works to improve community cohesion in Leicester, promoting a positive future for all residents. We tackle inequalities, build acceptance, and strengthen social bonds across cultural and generational divides. Through our work in arts, education and cultural awareness, we deliver programmes, projects, workshops and events that bring people together, build confidence and inspire change — removing barriers to unity and belonging.
We support everyone in Leicester who continues to face disadvantage, including BAME communities, refugees and asylum seekers, young adults, women, teenagers and older residents from across our diverse city.
However, like many small charities, we face challenges in communicating the depth and impact of our work. Much of what we achieve happens locally - powerful but often unseen beyond the communities directly involved. This is where your support as a Marketing & Content Creation Volunteer will make a real difference.
By helping us develop our social media, newsletter and digital storytelling, you’ll amplify the voices of the people and communities we serve. You’ll turn our workshops, performances and success stories into engaging content that shows Leicester residents the power of community connection.
Your work will help us
- Increase awareness of our projects and events, encouraging greater participation.
- Showcase the diversity, talent and resilience within our communities.
- Strengthen relationships with partners, funders and supporters who share our values.
- Build a consistent, inclusive online presence that reflects our mission and impact.
A stronger digital presence will not only help us grow our audience and attract support - it will also promote community cohesion by celebrating shared stories, mutual respect and collective achievement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
