Kick-start your career in social media and content creation with a hands-on role working across leading fragrance, beauty, and luxury brands. You'll create engaging content, support social media LIVE sessions, gain video production experience, and work alongside experienced marketing professionals in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work:
- Researching social media trends and developing new content ideas
- Creating and uploading short-form and long-form video content
- Filming products, demonstrations, behind-the-scenes content, and team activity
- Appearing on camera and delivering scripted and semi-scripted content
- Developing your presentation and product storytelling skills
- Supporting and eventually co-hosting and hosting TikTok and social media LIVE sessions
- Supporting live commerce and auction-style formats
- Capturing photography and video using professional studio equipment
- Editing video alongside the Senior Editors and developing your own editing skills
- Creating social media graphics and marketing assets using Canva, Adobe, and AI tools
- Supporting email marketing campaigns
- Writing and optimising SEO content for product pages, landing pages, and blogs
- Supporting SEO and off-site outreach activity
- Supporting influencer and creator outreach and collaborations
- Helping build and improve sales funnels across social media, paid advertising, email, and product pages
- Supporting the measurement of content performance, including views, watch time, completion, engagement, and click-through rates
- Attending strategy meetings and contributing ideas to future marketing activity
- Supporting the wider sales and marketing team with day-to-day activity

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
- Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources
- Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development
- Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project
- Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines
- Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media
- Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive, and is on brand
- Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification
- Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services
- Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are coordinated and legally compliant
- Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets
- Use technology and software packages to support day-to-day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations, and project management
- Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives
- Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs
- Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results
- Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement
- Use data analysis tools to record, interpret, and analyse customer or campaign data

Training schedule
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At portion of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.

An apprenticeship consists of practical on-the-job experience and online sessions for off-the-job training once a week.
Essential qualifications
- GCSE in:
- English (grade C/4)
- Maths (grade C/4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
Other requirements
- You must be aged 18 or over due to the on-camera and live elements of the role
- You must be able to work from the client's Leicester head office
- An active passport is required due to potential UK and international travel
- A driving licence would be advantageous due to travel for shoots and events
- You must be comfortable with occasional evening LIVE sessions, planned around the apprenticeship's training requirements
