Freelance Marketing Content Lead

Above & Beyond is proud to be partnering with a boutique PR agency, supporting innovators and funders in human and planetary health.
They work with start-ups, venture builders and investors in positive impact technologies and help them to build and execute outcome-driven and strategic PR and marketing campaigns.
After tripling their revenue in the last 12 months and onboarding some new long-term client accounts, they are now looking to hire a Freelance Marketing Content Lead to join their team.
Your Role
We are seeking an experienced, strategically minded, and highly organised Freelance Marketing Content Manager [3-6+ years experience] to own and elevate the digital workstreams across our client roster.
You will lead the end-to-end management of digital campaigns- from creative ideation and planning to final execution and reporting. You are a natural storyteller who knows how to build digital communities, run seamless content calendars, and turn complex ideas into highly engaging online content. You will work cross-functionally and collaborate closely with our Designer(s) and the PR & Events Lead.
Logistics
- Rate: c.£2,000 / month - dependent on deliverables.
- Commitment: Minimum 2 days per week
- Duration: To be discussed
- Location: Remote, with the ability to attend in-person meetings or alignment sessions in London as required.

Your Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Social Media Management
- Ideation & Creation: Concept and draft high-performing copy and content for client social channels, with a heavy emphasis on B2B storytelling on LinkedIn [and occasionally X/Twitter].
- Calendar Management: Own and maintain digital content calendars, ensuring a consistent publishing cadence that aligns with client milestones and broader PR campaigns.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and manage client social channels, fostering active engagement and building brand affinity within their respective communities.
Digital Asset & Campaign Visualisation
- Design Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our Designer(s) to brief, review, and deliver thumb-stopping visual assets [social graphics, blog banners, and report layouts].
- Editorial & Copywriting: Draft and manage the production of other digital-first assets, including newsletters, blog posts, and digital reports.
- PR Amplification: Partner with the PR & Events Lead to ensure media wins are seamlessly amplified across digital channels, ensuring both functions work in tandem.
- Performance Reporting: Track and analyse key performance metrics, translating data into actionable insights for client review.

Experience & Skills
- Seniority: Proven experience operating as a Digital Marketing Manager, Account Manager, or senior agency/in-house equivalent [experience in B2B or tech-adjacent sectors is a strong plus].
- Social Mastery: Deep knowledge of social media platform algorithms, best practices, and trends-specifically LinkedIn and X.
- Content Management: Experience utilising social scheduling tools, CMS platforms, and email marketing tools [e.g., Mailchimp, Substack, or HubSpot].
- Collaboration: Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully managing design pipelines and working with freelance creative talent.
- Agility: A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, meet deadlines, and pivot quickly. You love execution as much as strategic thinking.
