About Lighthouse Sustainability
Lighthouse Sustainability is a UK sustainability training and advisory company. We deliver approachable, high-quality training for businesses, including Carbon Literacy courses and our Train the Trainer programme. We have plans to introduce a Sustainability Trainer Academy and we also produce Straight Talking Sustainability, a weekly podcast. Find out more at www.lighthouse-sustainability.co.uk.
The role
Your priority is to generate enquiries for new training work for Lighthouse Sustainability, and secondly, speaking opportunities for our founder, Emma. You will do it by running our day-to-day marketing across LinkedIn and Instagram, the weekly Straight Talking Sustainability podcast, our website and The Beacon newsletter. This is a coordinator role. Emma sets the marketing plan and priorities; you deliver it consistently, to a high standard, and report on what is working. You will work closely with Emma and with Hayley, our Training Manager, who provides course dates and training content.
What you will do
LinkedIn & Instagram
- Publish 2 to 3 company page posts a week: podcast episodes, course dates, case studies and short explainers.
- Monitor company page analytics, comments and messages and respond or flag warm leads within one working day.
Straight Talking Sustainability podcast (weekly)
- Support Emma in finalising show notes and profile image for every episode, and publish an episode page on the website.
- Cut 2 short clips and 1 quote card from each episode, using Riverside (auto generated)
- Schedule a promotion sequence for each episode on LinkedIn, mirror on Instagram and feature in The Beacon.
- Send each guest a promotion pack with clips, a graphic and suggested post copy (fortnightly).
Support for Emma's LinkedIn outreach
- Build target lists of HR, L&D and sustainability leads in corporate firms, logged in HubSpot.
- Target prospects via DM with a relevant hook: a podcast episode, a case study in their sector, or an upcoming course.
- Work with Hayley to log BD outcomes and report monthly on replies and calls booked.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
