About the Role

District 4 Labs is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will play a hands-on role across digital marketing, graphic design, social media, and events - from building email and social campaigns to creating on-brand visual assets and supporting on-site event execution. It's an ideal opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who wants broad, hands-on exposure and the chance to contribute to a high-caliber, mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing

  • Support the planning, building, and deployment of email campaigns across the customer lifecycle
  • Assist with list segmentation, scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Help maintain email templates and ensure brand consistency across communications

Graphic Design

  • Create on-brand visual assets for digital channels including social media, email, and web
  • Support design needs for campaigns, presentations, and event materials
  • Work within established brand guidelines and help evolve them over time

  • Assist with content creation, scheduling, and posting across social platforms
  • Monitor engagement and compile basic reporting on social performance
  • Stay current on platform trends and contribute relevant content ideas

Events Support

  • Experience supporting or coordinating events, including tradeshows, with willingness to travel periodically (several times per year) for on-site execution when required.
  • Assist with logistics coordination for virtual and in-person events including webinars, trade shows, and field events
  • Support pre and post-event communications, promotional materials, and attendee tracking

General Marketing Support

  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, and asset folders
  • Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as needed
  • Support the development of lead nurture assets including landing page copy, downloadable content, and digital asset libraries as the role develops

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Organized, self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-moving environment

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with an email marketing platform
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
  • Exposure to CRM concepts or marketing automation basics
  • Experience supporting or coordinating events
  • A portfolio of design or content work, however early-stage
