Marketing & Customer Support Manager
Birmingham | Office-Based | Full-Time
£35,000 + Performance Bonus
You must have the right to work in the UK for the next 5 years.
This is an Opportunity
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the marketing function within a growing business, shape the strategy, generate measurable commercial opportunities, and lead a small junior team. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director, identifying where the business should focus its marketing activity, building campaigns that generate qualified leads, and continually improving what works. Alongside marketing, you’ll oversee the customer support function, helping ensure customers receive a responsive, organized, and professional experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and delivering the annual marketing strategy, activity plan, and budget
- Generating qualified commercial enquiries through PPC, SEO, email, social media, content, events, partnerships, and targeted campaigns
- Managing and improving Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, landing pages, and website conversion
- Identifying new customer segments, lead-generation opportunities, partnerships, and routes to market
- Reporting on marketing-sourced enquiries, pipeline, conversion, cost per lead, and ROI
- Reviewing campaign performance and deciding what should be improved, changed, or stopped
- Managing exhibitions and events from planning and promotion through to lead capture, follow-up, and ROI
- Overseeing website content, SEO, social media, email campaigns, case studies, and marketing materials
- Managing the day-to-day customer support function and identifying opportunities to improve customer experience
- Coordinating client content, graphics, and marketing deployment requirements
- Leading, training, and developing three junior Marketing/Customer Support team members
- Presenting new commercial marketing ideas and recommendations directly to senior management

About You
Our client is looking for someone who can combine hands-on marketing delivery with commercial thinking. You’ll be comfortable taking responsibility for results, analyzing performance, and making recommendations rather than waiting to be told what to do next. You should have experience across several areas of marketing, which may include:
- Lead generation and demand generation
- PPC and digital marketing
- SEO and website conversion
- Email and content marketing
- Campaign planning and performance reporting
- Exhibitions and events
- Customer communications
- Managing or mentoring junior team members
