The Opportunity
This role is within the evolving global business development team. You will be working with business development personnel across the firm, including those responsible for the development of client systems and those running business development programmes such as the client programme, the contractor programme and initiatives identified by the Business and Markets Executive / Business Growth and Client Systems leadership. Work with our digital marketing experts on our data warehouse that stores data from our digital marketing platform, Marketo, and its evolution to encompass website and social media data. Its aim is to give a complete picture of the operation of our digital marketing channels.
- Bring your expertise in reporting to support the development of CRM and other tools so that our data is best configured to produce the reporting we need.
- Explore the use of AI to support development of reporting solutions as well as generate insights into our business growth department.
- Collaborate with the wider ARUP’s analytics community in predictive modeling and statistical analysis projects that would help surface insights around improving our work-winning processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
