Marketing & Digital Officer

Do you enjoy turning a marketing challenge into a campaign that gets results?

As our Marketing & Digital Officer, you’ll work with teams across YMCA Derbyshire to understand their priorities and develop marketing activity that helps them reach the right audiences, generate enquiries and support sales, income and service growth.

Combining campaign planning, digital marketing and audience insight, you’ll help us make the most of our websites and digital channels, driving engagement and action and continually improving how we reach people. It’s also a hands-on creative role, bringing ideas and campaigns to life through effective messaging and design.

Design & Content Officer

Are you a creative person with an instinct for finding hidden stories?

Across YMCA Derbyshire, stories are unfolding every day – among young people we support, residents finding a new start, children learning and developing, people finding companionship and guidance through our community services, colleagues making a difference and supporters making our work possible.

As our Design & Content Officer, you’ll find and bring those stories to life, creating engaging content that shows the impact of our work, strengthens our voice and inspires people to connect with our services, fundraising and events.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Combining storytelling, social media and strong visual design, you’ll help YMCA Derbyshire communicate with personality and purpose – finding creative ways to reach different audiences, build engagement and inspire action.

Two new roles, one team

YMCA Derbyshire has grown significantly over the past five years, developing new services and reaching more people across our communities. We’re now investing in our marketing capacity by creating two complementary specialist roles: a Marketing & Digital Officer and a Design & Content Officer.

Working together and reporting to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising, the two postholders will bring different strengths while collaborating across our marketing, design, communications and fundraising activity. This gives each person the opportunity to develop their specialist areas whilst working flexibly and supporting each other in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll join a small, ambitious marketing and fundraising team, working across a wonderfully varied mix of services, events and audiences. That could mean supporting YMCA Key College, Stepping Stones Nursery, Housing, fundraising events such as Sleep Easy, Golf Day and Dinner Dances and other areas of YMCA Derbyshire’s work.
