Marketing & Digital Officer

37.5 Hours per week

If you're a creative marketer who loves bringing stories to life, creating engaging digital content and making every communication count, this could be your next opportunity. As our Marketing & Digital Officer, you'll play a key role in sharing powerful stories, growing engagement across digital channels and helping supporters understand the difference their support makes every day. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and purpose-driven team where your creativity, organisation and digital skills will help amplify the voice of the hospice and support our mission across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and North Lincolnshire.

Job Purpose

You'll create and deliver engaging marketing and digital content across multiple channels, including social media, email, website and print. Supporting campaigns, managing digital publishing and helping tell powerful family stories, you'll play a key role in bringing Bluebell Wood's communications to life.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll work closely with colleagues across the hospice, engage with online audiences and ensure all content reflects Bluebell Wood's values, brand and commitment to making a difference for children and families.

  • Create engaging, accurate and impactful content across digital and print channels, including social media, website content, email communications, family stories and campaign materials.
  • Produce and prepare digital assets including simple video content, reels and short-form content for social platforms.
  • Schedule, publish and manage content across digital channels, ensuring delivery to agreed standards and deadlines.
  • Support campaign activity across fundraising, supporter engagement and wider hospice communications.
  • Capture photography and content at hospice events, visits and community activities to support future storytelling and engagement.

What you'll need:

We're looking for someone with creativity, strong communication skills and a passion for producing high-quality content that engages and inspires audiences. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience creating content across multiple channels, with the ability to maintain brand consistency, accuracy and tone of voice.
  • Confidence using digital platforms and content tools to prepare, schedule and publish content.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to create engaging and compelling content for a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and confident communication skills when engaging with colleagues, supporters and online communities.
  • Proof of your right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

  • Completion of a health assessment relevant to the role.
