MARKETING DIRECTOR

Shoreditch, London | 4 days in office | Up to £150,000 + 30% bonus + benefits

Please note: This role is office-based four days per week in Shoreditch, London. The business is unable to provide visa sponsorship, so applicants must already have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.

This is not a traditional Marketing Director role.

We're exclusively representing one of the UK's most recognisable entrepreneurs and media personalities on a senior marketing appointment that will sit at the heart of their growing global business.

Reporting directly to the entrepreneur and their global leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to build the marketing function behind a portfolio of creator-led media, communities, products and technology businesses.

This is a role for someone who wants to build. Someone who enjoys starting with a blank page, creating the strategy, putting the right systems in place and then seeing the impact of their work at scale.

  • You'll be responsible for defining how attention is earned, distributed, captured and converted into long-term audience value.
  • You'll shape the marketing strategy across multiple brands, deciding where each brand should play, which channels matter and how they work together to drive discovery, engagement, audience growth and retention.
  • A major part of the role will be developing a repeatable approach to virality. You'll create the frameworks that help turn great content and brand moments into measurable, scalable growth - rather than relying on individual posts, creators or one-off successes.
  • You'll also build the systems that turn attention into something the business owns.
  • That means developing the strategy across email, community and events, building first-party data capabilities and creating meaningful audience journeys that drive repeat engagement and long-term value.
  • You'll establish a culture of experimentation, defining what gets tested, what gets scaled and what gets stopped. You'll use data to improve decisions across channels, content, timing and distribution - ensuring that every cycle of marketing makes the wider system more effective.
  • You'll also build and lead the marketing function, setting the standards, frameworks and priorities required to support a growing portfolio of brands.

The role sits at the intersection of brand, culture, creators, content, distribution, data and growth.

You'll need to understand how attention works in the modern media landscape, how audiences move between platforms and how brands can turn that attention into lasting relationships.

You'll be comfortable working with ambiguity, making decisions with imperfect information and moving quickly when the opportunity is there.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Most importantly, you'll want to be close to the work.

This is not a role where you'll spend your time managing from a distance. You'll work closely with the entrepreneur, their leadership team and the wider creative and commercial ecosystem around the business.

The person we're looking for

We're looking for a senior marketing leader who has built something before.

You might come from a creator-led business, media, publishing, a social-first brand, high-growth D2C or a digital platform. Your background could be in Marketing, Growth, Brand or Audience - the title matters less than the scale of what you've built.

You will likely have experience taking a marketing function, brand or audience from one stage of growth to the next, creating the strategy and systems needed to scale along the way.

You understand that modern marketing isn't just about campaigns or paid acquisition. You know how to build an audience, create demand, use content and culture to generate attention, and then turn that attention into an owned relationship.

You'll bring the strategic thinking of a senior marketing leader, combined with the commercial instinct and pace of a growth operator.

You don't need to have worked in the creator economy before, but you do need to understand how creators, content, platforms, communities and audiences interact - and be genuinely excited by where that is heading.

Above all, you're a builder. You're comfortable starting with a blank page, making decisions without having every answer and taking responsibility for turning an idea into something real.

You'll thrive here if:

  • You enjoy building marketing systems rather than simply managing channels.
  • You understand how attention is created, distributed and converted.
  • You have a strong understanding of creators, content and the modern media landscape.
  • You know how to turn audience growth into owned, engaged communities.
  • You use data to inform decisions and improve performance.
  • You have strong brand and cultural judgement.
  • You're comfortable making difficult decisions about focus, priorities and investment.
  • You can operate at pace without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • You enjoy working closely with senior leadership and influential personalities.
  • You want genuine ownership and the opportunity to build something rather than simply inherit it.

This is a rare opportunity to work directly with one of the UK's most recognisable entrepreneurs and play a central role in building the next stage of their global business.

The expectation is high, the pace is fast and there is a lot to build.

But for the right person, the opportunity is equally significant.

If you're a Marketing Director who wants to build something exceptional, we'd like to hear from you.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior marketing leader and genuine builder who has experience taking a brand, audience or marketing function through a significant stage of growth.

They may come from a creator-led business, media, publishing, social-first brand, high-growth D2C business or digital platform. Their job title is less important than the scale and impact of what they have built.

They will combine the strategic thinking of a senior marketing leader with the commercial instinct and pace of a growth operator. They understand that modern marketing is about more than campaigns and paid acquisition - it's about creating attention, building audiences and turning that attention into long-term, owned relationships.

They'll be comfortable working directly with a founder or high-profile entrepreneur, operating with a high degree of autonomy and making decisions in a fast-moving environment.

Above all, they're someone who wants to build something exceptional. They enjoy starting with a blank page, creating the strategy, putting the right systems and people in place, and taking ownership of the outcome.

This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the work, close to the leadership team and close to the impact.
