Marketing Director

London | 5 Days On-site | Up to £90,000 + Package
High-Growth | PE-Backed | Multi-Site Healthcare

The Opportunity

Sanderson King is delighted to be supporting the Founder & CEO of a high-growth, PE-backed healthcare clinic business with another important leadership appointment, following a number of successful C-suite hires we have already made for the organisation.

The business is at an exciting stage of its development, with significant investment behind an ambitious strategy to rapidly expand its clinic network across the UK.

We are now searching for a Marketing Director who can work closely with the Founder & CEO and wider leadership team to build the brand, accelerate customer growth and develop the marketing function required to support the next stage of expansion.

This is not a traditional corporate Marketing Director position. We need someone entrepreneurial, commercial and hands-on who can create the strategy but is equally comfortable getting close to execution, customers, individual locations and performance.

The Role

The Marketing Director will take ownership of the overall marketing strategy, brand and customer growth agenda across the business.

You will work directly with the Founder & CEO, becoming a key member of the leadership team and helping shape both the brand and wider commercial strategy as the organisation scales.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering the overall marketing and customer growth strategy.
  • Building a distinctive premium brand and ensuring consistency across every customer touchpoint.
  • Driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention and lifetime value.
  • Leading digital and performance marketing across paid search, paid social, SEO and other acquisition channels.
  • Developing CRM, customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing.
  • Creating effective local marketing strategies for individual clinics and geographic markets.
  • Supporting the launch and successful growth of new locations.
  • Developing partnerships, collaborations, influencers and other brand-building opportunities.
  • Overseeing PR, communications, content and social media.
  • Using customer insight and data to inform marketing and commercial decisions.
  • Establishing clear marketing KPIs and improving measurement, attribution and ROI.
  • Managing marketing budgets and ensuring investment is focused on the highest-performing opportunities.
  • Working closely with Operations to improve the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Partnering with Technology to develop digital customer journeys, data and marketing capabilities.
  • Working closely with Property and Operations around the new-site pipeline and launches.
  • Recruiting, leading and developing the marketing team as the business grows.
  • Managing relevant agencies and external partners.
  • Working directly with the Founder & CEO on brand, growth and wider commercial strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Multi-Site Growth & New Locations

A major part of the opportunity will be developing a repeatable marketing model that can support rapid expansion of the physical estate.

The Marketing Director will help ensure each new location launches with a strong local customer base and clear plan for sustainable growth.

This will include:

  • Developing launch marketing plans for new locations.
  • Building awareness ahead of opening.
  • Understanding individual local markets and customer demographics.
  • Developing local partnerships and community engagement.
  • Creating scalable marketing playbooks that can be replicated across future locations.
  • Monitoring acquisition, conversion and retention at location level.
  • Working with Operations to improve performance at established locations.
  • Ensuring the overall brand remains consistent as the estate expands.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experienced a business moving from a relatively small estate to a significantly larger multi-site operation.

About You

We are looking for an accomplished marketing leader with experience within a premium consumer-facing environment.

Experience could potentially come from:

  • Private healthcare
  • Dental
  • Aesthetics and cosmetic clinics
  • Optical
  • Wellness and fitness
  • Beauty
  • Hospitality and leisure
  • Premium retail
  • Other high-growth multi-site consumer businesses

Direct healthcare experience would be valuable, but equally important is understanding how to acquire and retain customers within a premium B2C environment where the physical location and customer experience are central to the proposition.

You may currently be operating as a Marketing Director, Head of Marketing, Growth Director or in another senior marketing leadership position.

Experience & Skills

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Significant senior marketing experience within a consumer-facing business.
  • Experience within a multi-site, location-based or rapidly scaling organisation.
  • A strong combination of brand and performance marketing expertise.
  • Demonstrable customer acquisition and growth experience.
  • Strong digital, CRM and customer lifecycle knowledge.
  • Experience developing local marketing strategies alongside national brand activity.
  • Experience supporting new site or location openings.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of marketing ROI.
  • Confidence using data and customer insight to drive decision-making.
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets.
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys and customer experience.
  • Experience managing agencies and external partners.
  • Experience building, leading and developing marketing teams.
  • Confidence working directly with Founders, CEOs and senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within a PE-backed, founder-led, startup or scale-up environment would be particularly advantageous.

The Person

Culture and approach will be equally important.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is entrepreneurial and genuinely hands-on.
  • Can think strategically while remaining close to execution.
  • Understands that marketing ultimately needs to drive commercial results.
  • Is equally comfortable discussing brand positioning and customer acquisition economics.
  • Enjoys building rather than simply inheriting established structures.
  • Moves quickly and is comfortable making decisions in a fast-changing environment.
  • Uses data and insight without losing creativity and instinct.
  • Can build strong relationships with operational teams and individual locations.
  • Takes ownership and follows initiatives through to delivery.
  • Is comfortable challenging existing thinking and bringing new ideas.
  • Wants to have a visible impact on the development of a high-growth business.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a well-funded business at a stage where the brand, marketing function and customer growth strategy are still being shaped.

You will work directly with an entrepreneurial Founder & CEO and an evolving senior leadership team, with considerable opportunity to influence the direction of the organisation.

Rather than joining a mature marketing structure, you will have the opportunity to build the capability, team, systems and approach required to support significant multi-site expansion.

For the right individual, the scope and responsibility of the position should continue to develop as the organisation grows.

Package & Location

  • Salary: Up to £90,000 depending on experience, plus package
  • Location: London
  • Working pattern: 5 days per week on-site

This is deliberately an on-site leadership role. We are looking for someone who wants to be close to the Founder, leadership team, operational teams and individual locations.

If you have helped build a premium consumer brand through a significant period of growth and would be excited by the opportunity to do it again within an ambitious, PE-backed multi-site environment, we would love to hear from you.
