📍 Marketing Director — Visit Isle of Wight
Full-time · £70,000 · Isle of Wight
We're hiring a Marketing Director to lead the marketing of one of the UK's most distinctive island destinations into a bold new era.
Visit Isle of Wight is the Island's official Destination Management Organisation, delivering the Wight BID on behalf of more than 1,300 tourism and hospitality businesses. As we enter the Wight BID 3 term (2026–2031), we're reshaping around a single, sharpened purpose: marketing the Isle of Wight brilliantly to grow visitor numbers, spend and reputation.
This is a marketing-leadership role first — an outstanding, hands-on marketer with the commercial and leadership ability to run the organisation, own its budget and income, and report directly to the Board.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
