Marketing Director – Consumer Health
UK | Consumer Healthcare | OTC | Brand & Portfolio Leadership
Allerton Bishop is partnering with an established and ambitious European Consumer Health organisation to appoint a Marketing Director to lead its marketing strategy, brand portfolio and future growth agenda.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Consumer Health, OTC or FMCG marketing leader with a strong track record of building brands, developing high-performing teams and translating consumer insight into sustainable commercial growth.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, the Marketing Director will take ownership of the marketing strategy across a portfolio of established and emerging consumer healthcare brands, balancing the growth of existing products with innovation, NPD and new market opportunities.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with commercial delivery and bring a strong understanding of how to build brands across pharmacy, retail, e-commerce and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities
As Marketing Director, you will:
- Develop and lead the Consumer Health marketing and brand strategy for UK and European markets.
- Drive growth across a portfolio of OTC and consumer healthcare products.
- Lead brand positioning, portfolio strategy, category development and consumer engagement.
- Identify opportunities for new product development (NPD), product innovation and portfolio expansion.
- Use consumer, market and competitor insights to identify emerging trends and future growth opportunities.
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns across digital, e-commerce, retail, pharmacy and traditional channels.
- Work closely with Commercial, Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Product Development teams.
- Optimise marketing investment, promotional strategy and return on investment.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Contribute to the wider commercial strategy and long-term growth plans of the organisation.

We are interested in speaking with senior marketing leaders who can demonstrate:
- Significant marketing leadership experience within Consumer Health, OTC, Consumer Healthcare, FMCG or closely related branded consumer products.
- A strong track record of brand growth, portfolio management and commercial marketing strategy.
- Experience developing and launching new products through NPD and innovation pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of consumer insights, category strategy and brand positioning.
- Experience across multiple routes to market, ideally including pharmacy, grocery, retail, e-commerce and digital.
