Director, Asset Servicing Marketing – 12-Month Contract - day rate - Inside IR35

We are currently recruiting for a Director-level Marketing professional to join a leading global financial services organisation on a 12-month fixed-term basis, providing maternity cover.

This is a senior marketing leadership role within a strategically important Asset Servicing business, responsible for translating business strategy into differentiated market positioning, compelling client messaging, integrated marketing programmes and measurable commercial outcomes.

You will work closely with senior business leaders, product teams, sales and wider marketing functions to strengthen market awareness, client engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Product Marketing

  • Lead business and product marketing strategy and execution across the Asset Servicing portfolio.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, value propositions and narrative frameworks that differentiate the business in the market.
  • Translate business priorities into integrated marketing plans supporting growth, client retention and commercial objectives.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across products, solutions and client-facing activity.

Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted marketing advisor to senior business stakeholders.
  • Partner with product, sales, strategy and client-facing teams to align marketing activity with business priorities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client needs, market trends, competitive dynamics and industry developments.

Go-to-Market & Campaigns

  • Lead integrated go-to-market programmes for new products, capabilities, platform enhancements and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive awareness, consideration, adoption and engagement through coordinated campaigns and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with specialist teams across digital, creative, events, communications and commercialisation.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Oversee the development of high-quality content and thought leadership to strengthen market positioning.
  • Support senior executives with messaging, presentations, client events and strategic communications.
  • Tailor content to different client segments and buying journeys.

Client & Market Insights

  • Use client feedback, market intelligence, competitive analysis and research to shape marketing strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen positioning and support commercial growth.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for business and marketing stakeholders.

Measurement & Governance

  • Monitor campaign performance against agreed objectives.
  • Support reporting, measurement and assessment of business impact.
  • Ensure marketing activity complies with relevant regulatory, legal, risk and compliance requirements.

About You

We are looking for an experienced marketing leader with:

  • Significant experience in financial services marketing, product marketing or business marketing.
  • Strong understanding of institutional financial services, asset servicing, custody, fund services, middle office or related markets.
  • Proven experience developing product positioning, messaging and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience partnering with and influencing senior business leaders.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience operating effectively within a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • A track record of delivering commercial outcomes through marketing.

Experience within asset servicing, securities services, asset management or institutional banking would be highly desirable.

Knowledge of institutional investor and asset manager audiences, product lifecycle marketing, sales enablement, thought leadership and executive communications would also be beneficial.
