We’re looking for a brilliant Marketing Director to join a high-profile national organisation at the heart of UK sport and entertainment.
This is a genuinely exciting brief.
It’s a senior, highly visible role leading marketing across a portfolio of well-known consumer brands, with a clear mandate around audience growth, engagement, brand and commercial impact.
And with a significant programme of activity ahead in 2027, there’s plenty to get your teeth into.
This is a 13-month maternity cover, but it’s absolutely not a role that’s simply about keeping things moving. There’s an established strategy, an ambitious agenda and a real opportunity for the right person to come in, bring their experience and make an impact quickly.
The role
You’ll lead the marketing strategy across the organisation’s portfolio of brands, competitions and audience propositions.
At the heart of the brief is a simple ambition: grow and engage audiences, strengthen the brands and translate that engagement into meaningful commercial value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll lead a talented team of six and work closely with colleagues across Commercial, Content, Digital, Communications, Data and Insight.
You’ll also manage key agency and strategic partner relationships and be responsible for significant marketing investment.
It’s broad. It’s fast-moving. And it needs someone who can see the big picture while still being close enough to the work to make things happen.
