MARKETING DIRECTOR

London | 4 days in office | Salary: Competitive + bonus and benefits

Please note: This is an office-based role, with four days per week in the London office. The business is unable to provide visa sponsorship, so applicants must already have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.

This is not a traditional Marketing Director role. We're exclusively representing a global creator-led entertainment company and podcast studio that builds and scales media brands, communities and ventures.

With a portfolio of internationally recognised creator-led properties, the business sits at the intersection of entertainment, media, culture and technology.

We're looking for a Marketing Director to build the marketing engine across the portfolio and help answer one of the biggest questions facing the industry:

What is the future of marketing in the creator age?

This is a role for someone who wants to build systems rather than simply manage channels. You'll define how attention is earned, distributed, captured and compounded across multiple brands - creating a marketing infrastructure that turns moments of attention into sustained audience growth and long-term brand value.

A key part of the role will be turning virality into a repeatable system. You'll develop the frameworks, formats, participation mechanics and distribution strategies that help content travel - moving beyond the one-off viral post and creating a system that can consistently generate attention and growth.

You'll establish a clear role for every channel across the portfolio. You'll determine where each platform contributes to discovery, depth, audience capture or habit, ensuring marketing performance is judged by the quality and longevity of the audience being built rather than vanity metrics.

You'll also develop the playbooks that allow content to travel credibly across platforms, streamers and third-party media - identifying opportunities to extend reach and build audiences well beyond owned channels.

But attention is only the beginning. You'll build the systems that convert attention into owned, durable audiences through email, community, membership and events.

You'll work closely with data and BI teams to develop first-party data loops that improve decision-making across the portfolio, ensuring every campaign creates learnings that make the next one more effective.

You'll also bring strong cultural judgement to the role. You'll own the cultural calendar across the portfolio, ensuring brands show up at the right moments with the right message and with genuine intent - rather than reacting to conversations after they've already happened.

You'll work closely with creators to develop opportunities around products and merchandise, ensuring launches feel like genuine brand moments that strengthen the relationship between creator and audience.

Alongside all of this, you'll build and lead a high-performing marketing function. You'll establish the standards, frameworks and operating principles that the wider portfolio can work against, creating a culture where teams know what to test, what to scale and what to stop.

You'll bring pace, focus and accountability - making the hard calls on where to invest time and resources and where to walk away.

The person we're looking for

We're looking for a senior marketing leader who has experience building and scaling brands across entertainment, media, the creator economy or consumer platforms.

You will have operated at a level where you're thinking beyond a single campaign or channel and instead designing the marketing system across multiple brands and audiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll have a proven track record of building owned audience channels and understand how to turn attention into something a business can retain and grow over time.

You'll understand how content travels across platforms, how distribution partnerships work and how to extend the reach of a brand beyond its own channels.

You'll bring strong commercial and strategic judgement, with the ability to set direction, prioritise ruthlessly and make difficult decisions when the data or circumstances demand it.

You'll also have experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams, setting clear standards and creating an environment where people are accountable for delivering exceptional work.

You don't need to have worked in the creator economy before, but you'll need to understand how creators, platforms, culture, content and audiences interact - and be genuinely interested in where the industry is heading.

Most importantly, you're a builder. You want to create the systems and infrastructure that allow brands to grow, rather than simply inherit a marketing function and manage what already exists.

Skills Summary

  • Senior marketing leadership experience across entertainment, media, creator, consumer or digital businesses.
  • Proven track record scaling brands and audiences across multiple channels.
  • Experience building marketing systems and frameworks across a multi-brand portfolio.
  • Strong understanding of the creator economy, modern media and the interest economy.
  • Proven ability to turn attention and audience growth into owned, durable relationships.
  • Experience developing email, community, membership or event-led audience strategies.
  • Strong understanding of content distribution across social platforms, streamers and third-party media.
  • Experience developing channel strategies based on audience quality, engagement and long-term value.
  • Strong data and first-party data understanding, with the ability to use insight to improve marketing decisions.
  • Experience building experimentation and test-and-learn frameworks.
  • Strong brand and cultural judgement, particularly around timing and relevance.
  • Proven experience building, leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and the confidence to set direction and challenge decisions.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to connect marketing activity to measurable business outcomes.
  • Comfortable working at pace, managing ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect information.
  • Must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK; no sponsorship available.

You'll thrive here if:

  • You want to build systems, not simply run channels.
  • You see virality as something that can be engineered and improved.
  • You enjoy making difficult decisions about focus, sequencing and investment.
  • You understand how attention forms, spreads, converts and decays.
  • You enjoy working closely with creators and protecting long-term brand value.
  • You think in multi-brand, multi-channel systems rather than one-off campaigns.
  • You're data-led and use evidence to challenge assumptions.
  • You want to work in an environment where standards are high and the pace is quick.
  • You enjoy building teams, setting direction and taking ownership of the outcome.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the marketing strategy across a growing portfolio of creator-led entertainment and media brands, working within a business that sits at the intersection of entertainment, media, culture and technology. You'll have the autonomy to build the systems, teams and strategies that define how these brands grow - and the opportunity to help shape what marketing looks like in the creator age.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior marketing leader and genuine builder who has experience scaling brands, audiences or marketing functions within entertainment, media, creator-led businesses or consumer platforms.

You'll have experience operating beyond a single campaign or channel, thinking about how multiple platforms and audiences work together to create sustained growth. You'll understand how attention is created, how it spreads and, most importantly, how to turn it into an audience and brand that can grow over time.

You'll bring a strong understanding of content, creators, culture and distribution, alongside the commercial and data-led thinking needed to build a marketing engine that delivers measurable results.

You're likely to have experience working across multiple brands, products or audiences and will be comfortable setting the overall strategy while empowering a team to execute it. You'll know how to build high-performing teams, establish clear standards and create the frameworks that allow people to do their best work.

You won't be someone who simply wants to manage an established marketing function. You're excited by the opportunity to build the systems, strategy and team that will define how a portfolio of creator-led entertainment brands grows.

Above all, you're comfortable making difficult decisions, challenging assumptions and deciding where to focus. You understand that great marketing isn't about doing more - it's about knowing what matters most, why it matters and how to make it compound.
