Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Marketing Director, Global AI Excellence plays a critical role in driving the strategic transformation of our marketing organization by leveraging advanced Artificial Intelligence. This role is responsible for defining how the company utilizes AI across the entire marketing ecosystem, evaluating and optimizing our current marketing technology (MarTech) stack, leveraging our enterprise investments in AI, and deeply understanding our end-to-end marketing operating processes to embed AI-driven efficiencies.
The role will collaborate cross-functionally to identify automation and enhancement opportunities, refine existing workflows, and shape the enterprise-wide marketing AI strategy. This role requires a marketer who is tech-forward, process-obsessed, business savvy, and a champion for future-proofing our global brands.
What You Can Expect:
Marketing AI Strategy & Process Enablement
- AI Vision & Integration: Develops and implements a comprehensive marketing AI strategy that aligns with the company's long-term objectives, marketing priorities, and AI Strategy.
- Operating Process Optimization: Maps and deeply analyzes core marketing processes (brand planning, briefing, campaign development, media planning, communications, measurement), identifying and documenting where AI workflow transformation can have the highest leverage.
- Workflow Transformation: Architects & deploys AI-driven workflows that augment processes, creativity, streamline collaboration, reduce time-to-market, and drive material cost efficiencies or productivity gains.
- Change Management: Is a thought leader within and member of the cross-functional AI COE, collaborating with existing squads, coaches & partnering the Marketing Leadership to drive the organizational shift required to adopt AI tools seamlessly, establishing best practices, governance structures, and training frameworks across the marketing organisation.

Unlocking Partners Capability
- Agency Capabilities: Conduct a comprehensive audit and continuous assessment of the agency ecosystem’s AI capabilities and maturity. Partner to harness their AI capabilities to drive material cost efficiencies in content production, collaboration, planning & time-to-market.
- Technology partners: Continuously evaluates the existing MarTech stack alongside emerging market trends and other vendors, to identify capability gaps and opportunities to deploy in the marketing function and practices.
- Data: Partners with IT, Data Science, and Brand Analytics to ensure the foundational data architecture effectively supports development of knowledge bases and applications.
- Vendor & Tool Management: Collaborates with IT in the evaluation, piloting, and rollout of enterprise marketing AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automated performance dashboards utilizing enterprise approved tools & dedicated marketing vendors).
- COE Liaison & Adoption: Serves as the primary marketing ambassador to the Enterprise AI COE; operationalizes corporate AI governance, ethical standards, and data privacy policies directly into marketing team behaviors and campaign execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration, Communication & Change Management
- Strategic Partnerships: Partners with cross-functional teams (Global Brand Leaders, ICX, I&P, Legal, IT, and R&D) to co-create AI pilot programs and scale successful initiatives globally (i.e. leveraging consumer & media data for AI-driven personalisation)
- Communication: Effectively communicates the Marketing AI roadmap, marketing partners & vendor capabilities capabilities, and pilot performance metrics to both internal marketing teams and executive leadership.
- Inspirational Leadership: Inspires marketing teams and functions across the wider organisation to engage and adopt change at scale

What You Bring to the Table:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or Technology preferred, alongside 12+ years of marketing leadership experience.
- Process Expertise: Deep operational understanding of end-to-end marketing lifecycles (specifically brand strategy, creative production, media planning, and campaign measurement) within a matrixed corporate structure.
- Tech-Forward Marketer: Proven track record of successfully identifying, piloting, and scaling emerging technologies or MarTech platforms within a large enterprise.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strong knack for translating complex technical capabilities into practical marketing applications.
- Global Perspective: Both US and International experience, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures, time zones, and global markets.
- Ability to build relationships & Influence: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence across the organization, achieve buy-in & guide teams through adopting new practices and ways of working.
What Makes You Unique:
- AI Subject Matter Expertise: Direct experience implementing generative AI, machine learning, or automated workflow tools within a CPG marketing function or digital agency.
- CPG & Premium Brand Stewardship: Marketing experience within a large multinational consumer packaged goods (CPG), spirits, or premium lifestyle brand environment.
- Curiosity & Innovation: Champions a culture of curiosity, rapid experimentation, continuous learning, and responsible experimentation
