Marketing Director – Skin Health & Hair Care, Northern Europe

Location: Reading, Berkshire, UK
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract – 12 Months
Work Model: Hybrid

Overview

Senior marketing leadership role responsible for the Skin Health & Hair Care portfolio across Northern Europe, including the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets. The role combines category strategy, P&L ownership, commercial growth, innovation, marketing excellence and team leadership across a complex multi-market portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Northern Europe category strategy and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Own portfolio performance and P&L accountability, balancing short-term commercial delivery with long-term brand growth.
  • Develop three-year operating plans aligned with regional and global priorities.
  • Identify growth opportunities through consumer insights, analytics, market trends and innovation.
  • Represent Northern Europe within global brand and innovation teams, influencing communication, claims, HCP engagement and portfolio strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally across Customer Development, Revenue Growth Management, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Finance.
  • Drive integrated marketing, media, e-commerce, retail media, customer activation and omnichannel strategies.
  • Develop category growth plans with key retail partners across multiple markets.
  • Optimise marketing investment and activation using performance data and consumer insights.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing marketing team and cross-functional squad.
  • Contribute to wider Northern Europe marketing strategy and organisational effectiveness.
  • Monitor category, consumer, technology and competitive trends and identify future growth opportunities.
  • Champion advanced analytics, digital marketing and AI-enabled marketing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Significant marketing leadership experience within FMCG, consumer healthcare, beauty, personal care or a related sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainable commercial growth across complex brand portfolios.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L ownership or significant P&L influence.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams and cross-functional organisations.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills across local, regional and global teams.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate insights into commercial decisions.
  • Experience developing integrated marketing, media, content and activation strategies.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
