Exciting new opportunity for an experienced and commercially focused marketing leader to join a rapid-growth AI and SaaS business operating within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.
The Head of Marketing / Marketing Director will develop and lead the overall marketing strategy, aligning brand positioning, communications, lead generation and marketing activity with the company's commercial growth objectives and international expansion plans.
This is a broad, high-impact role for someone who can operate confidently at strategic and senior stakeholder level while remaining highly hands-on. The successful candidate will shape the marketing plan and personally deliver content, campaigns, digital activity, presentations, conference materials and sales-support tools.
The role will suit an entrepreneurial and resourceful individual who understands the pharmaceutical customer environment and can translate a complex AI-enabled proposition into clear, engaging and commercially effective messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the global marketing strategy, annual plan, priorities, budget and KPI framework in line with commercial objectives and growth plans.
- Own and evolve the company's market positioning, value proposition, messaging and brand identity across all customer touchpoints.
- Identify opportunities to increase market awareness, customer engagement and qualified lead generation across pharmaceutical and life sciences markets.
- Define and monitor marketing performance measures, analyse activity and demonstrate measurable commercial impact and return on investment.
- Lead integrated campaigns, product launches, webinars, conferences, events and thought-leadership initiatives.
- Create, edit and manage high-quality content, sales collateral, RFP responses, client presentations, executive decks and other customer-facing materials.
- Drive digital marketing across the website, social media, email, webinars, CRM and marketing automation channels.
- Use AI-enabled marketing, design and video tools to improve content quality, campaign effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Lead PR, media engagement, announcements and other external and internal communications activity.
- Manage third-party agencies, creative suppliers and external partners, ensuring quality, value, delivery and accountability.
- Present marketing plans, insights and recommendations to senior leadership, Board-level, investor and client audiences, and act as a senior brand ambassador.
- Work collaboratively with commercial, customer success, operations and leadership colleagues to support business development and customer growth.

The Client:
The Client is a rapidly growing technology-enabled SaaS business operating within the pharmaceutical and life sciences service sector. Its AI-powered platform converts conversations between field-based teams and healthcare professionals into timely data and actionable commercial insights. The organisation is expanding internationally and is seeking a senior marketing leader to strengthen its market presence and directly support the next stage of growth.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of modern marketing technology, digital platforms, CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
The Person/Experience Required:
- Significant B2B marketing experience, including at least 4-5 years’ operating in a senior marketing, head-of-function or leadership capacity.
- Proven experience developing and delivering marketing strategy within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or life sciences sector.
- A strong understanding of pharmaceutical customers, commercial teams and the wider industry environment.
- Experience working within a start-up, scale-up, high-growth business or similarly entrepreneurial environment.
- Demonstrable ability to combine strategic leadership with detailed, hands-on marketing execution.
- Strong commercial judgement, with evidence of generating demand, supporting growth and measuring marketing impact and ROI.
- Broad experience across brand, content, digital, social media, email, PR, campaigns, events, conferences and sales enablement.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the confidence and credibility to influence senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
- Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies, suppliers and multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to translate complex technical or scientific information into compelling customer-focused communications.
- Confident using AI-enabled marketing and design tools, with an organised, proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Desirable:
- Experience within B2B SaaS, health technology, pharmaceutical data, AI, analytics or field-force insights.
- Experience marketing to senior pharmaceutical commercial, sales, marketing or customer-experience stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM, automated lead-generation systems and marketing automation platforms.
- Experience creating RFP, sales-enablement and executive-level thought-leadership content.
- International marketing experience and/or graphic design, video production or strong creative-direction capability.
