Job Description

About the Role

The Marketing Engagement Lead owns the local customer engagement strategy for assigned brand(s), translating Takeda’s central brand strategy and modular content into a locally executable, omnichannel plan, and delivers local brand performance anchored in Takeda’s values of Patient, Trust, Reputation and Business.

Key Objectives

  • Own the local customer engagement strategy for assigned brand(s), translating Takeda’s central brand strategy and modular content into a locally executable plan.
  • Design the customer journey and orchestrate omnichannel engagement across field and non-personal channels, managing local investment on an ROI basis.
  • Feed performance, market and customer insights back to Marketing & Commercial Excellence (MCE) to shape future brand strategy and content.
  • Serve as the local expert on the NHS/HSE operating environment, using internal and external insight sources to shape a UK/IE-fit engagement and brand plan.
  • Deliver local brand performance — market competitiveness and financial results — anchored in Takeda’s values of Patient, Trust, Reputation and Business.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Local Engagement Plan — an all-channel, all-tactic plan covering segments, objectives, channel mix and sequencing, module selection, budget, enablement, measurement and learning agenda — developed with cross-functional buy-in.
  • Lead local brand planning inputs, ensuring customer engagement activity is connected to brand strategy, commercial objectives, launch priorities and lifecycle opportunities.
  • Conduct local situational analysis and customer insight to ground the engagement strategy (engagement-focused, not brand re-strategizing).
  • Design the local HCP/customer journey and experience across touchpoints, optimising engagement quality rather than activity volume.
  • Select, adapt and prioritise the elements of Takeda’s central MCE strategy that best meet the needs of UK & IE customers and the local healthcare system.
  • Set engagement objectives, target audiences, key messages and content needs across face-to-face (field/KAM), many-to-many (meetings, congresses, advisory boards) and digital/non-personal channels.
  • Brief and train field teams on brand messaging and narrative; the Sales Lead owns field-team management, coaching and delivery.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional engagement — convene and align commercial, medical and access partners, leading or co-leading the local engagement team while respecting compliance processes and SOPs.
  • Apply a reuse-first, modular-content approach via the Takeda Content Factory; localise only where required within approved claims and run efficient local MLR.
  • Use data, analytics and AI-enabled orchestration (next-best-action / decision engines, CRM) to interpret performance and personalise engagement.
  • Manage and optimise the local engagement investment and partner with Finance and Supply on forecasting and demand planning.
  • Support launch excellence and lifecycle management by coordinating local readiness, performance tracking, optimisation and post-launch learning.
  • Close the loop — convert performance data into next-wave optimisation and structured insight, content/module gaps and recommendations back to MCE.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
