Marketing and Events Executive

Reports to: Head of Marketing and Enterprise
Place of work: Enterprise Causeway, Coleraine, and Bushmills. (In Person Position)
Hours of work: Full Time flexible hours (30 - 35 hrs per week) OR 2 Part Time/Job Share Positions (16 - 20 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 pro rate depending on experience

Role Purpose

As the Marketing & Events Executive for Enterprise Causeway and The Courthouse Bushmills you will help raise the profile of our facilities, programmes, events and business support services by assisting in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional plans that support organisational objectives, business growth and customer engagement.

You will also support the delivery of the Go Succeed Programme by providing practical marketing guidance and mentoring to pre-start, start-up and early-growth businesses.

This role is suited to a marketing and events generalist who is as comfortable helping to organise events as they are at updating website content or creating email and social media content.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Collateral, Advertising & Promotional Assets

  • Marketing Assets & Production: Design and/or coordinate the production of all physical marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, posters, signage, banners and event programmes, while managing relationships with printers, signage suppliers, advertising partners and creative agencies to ensure high-quality production, timely delivery and cost-effective marketing spend.
  • Event Branding & Merchandise: Oversee the creation, maintenance and inventory of promotional event materials and merchandise.
  • Advertising Campaigns: Deliver offline and paid digital advertising campaigns including Meta and Google advertising where appropriate, to raise awareness, generate enquiries and promote events, programmes and facilities.
  • Digital Creative Assets: Create engaging visual content and campaign assets for websites, social media, email marketing and paid advertising channels, ensuring consistency of brand identity across all platforms.
  • Customer Advocacy & Storytelling: Conduct 2 customer interviews per month. Produce video content and written stories for both the website and "The Wall of Fame" (physical displays) at our locations.

Digital Content & Social Media Strategy

  • Social Media Management: Develop and maintain a content calendar for each business unit.
  • Engagement & Growth: Proactively monitor social channels to engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and convert engagement into measurable leads.
  • Website Management: Manage website content, ensuring information remains accurate, engaging, SEO-optimised and designed to generate enquiries and bookings.
  • Third-Party Listings: Act as the "Owner" of our presence on third party platforms including but not exclusive to Property Pal, Tourism NI, Visit Causeway Coast and Glens. Ensure images and copy are refreshed seasonally.

Email & Lead Generation

  • Database Management: Ensure mailing lists are segmented, GDPR compliant, and primed for high engagement.
  • Monthly Newsletters: Drive conversions through targeted email campaigns and own the end-to-end process for monthly newsletters.
  • Lead Capture: Create physical-to-digital bridges (e.g., using QR codes on flyers and signage) to grow our digital mailing list from foot traffic.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and report on key metrics including open rates, CTRs, and most importantly conversion to enquiries/sales/bookings.

Event Marketing

  • Pre-Event: Create and manage event campaigns and listings across all platforms, coordinate invitations, handle RSVPs, and manage the inquiries/cancellations pipeline.
  • On-the-Day Execution: Ensure the physical event space is branded correctly with the appropriate signage, banners, and delegate packs, manage event registrations, badge distribution, capture event footage and sound bites.
  • Post-Event: Create, distribute and analyse post-event surveys. Translate feedback into actionable insights to improve future programming.

Go Succeed Business Support & Marketing Mentoring

  • Provide one-to-one marketing mentoring to pre-start, start-up and early-growth businesses participating in the Go Succeed Programme, assisting clients in developing practical marketing plans and identifying appropriate promotional channels for their business.
  • Record mentoring activity, client outcomes and case studies in line with programme reporting requirements.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for Enterprise Causeway and the Go Succeed Programme throughout the Causeway Coast and Glens area.

General

  • Undertake routine office duties associated with administration.
  • Comply with all established procedures including the Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Implement Enterprise Causeway’s statutory responsibilities and procedures in respect to insurance, employment, equal opportunities, child / vulnerable adult protection, data protection, security, health & safety, and other appropriate areas.
  • The postholder will be expected to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organisation.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a marketing, events, communications or promotional role.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects, events or campaigns simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Knowledge of website content management systems, email marketing software, Canva or Adobe and Meta Business Suite
  • Experience creating content for digital and social media platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and email marketing campaigns.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple deadlines.

Desirable

  • CIM L4 or above OR a HND, Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Business, Events Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or advising SMEs, social enterprises or start-up businesses.
  • Experience facilitating workshops or networking events.
  • Experience using CRM, booking or ticketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of the Causeway Coast and Glens business eco-system.
