Marketing Events Executive - 12 Month FTC

Location: Leicester based, with regular travel to other offices. Leicester is ideally located, offering easy access to key hubs (London, Birmingham, and Nottingham), all within a 1.5-hour travel time. As such, Leicester would be the preferred location for this role.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality in-person and digital events, delivering exceptional experiences through effective planning, AV management and on-site technical support. In addition, they will create engaging short-form content for social media to help promote our events and wider marketing activity.

As well as delivering events independently, the role requires supporting the Events team with larger events, liaising with stakeholders, BDMs and the wider marketing team.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for events, be digitally minded with a good understanding of AV technology.

What you will be doing:

Event Management

  • Independently manage and deliver in-person and digital events in accordance with the Group’s Events Bible, within allocated budgets, ensuring compliance with governance and risk requirements
  • Manage event logistics including venues, catering, suppliers, entertainment registrations, travel and on-site delivery
  • Produce event briefs, PowerPoint presentations, speaker notes, attendee lists and post-event reporting, attendee analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement

AV & Digital Event Production

  • Produce and deliver digital events, including live and pre-recorded webinars using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and GoTo Webinar, providing real-time technical support, and video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Lead AV setup and production for live events, operating and troubleshooting sound systems, microphones, presentation technology, displays and lighting to ensure seamless delivery

CRM

  • Create and manage event campaigns using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including audience segmentation, data management, reporting, data cleansing and analysis to improve targeting, engagement and campaign performance
  • Create engaging event copy for invitations, website content and internal communications, liaising with the Digital and CRM team to develop event mailer campaigns

Operations & support

  • Manage event merchandise, branded materials and banner stocks, ensuring availability and distribution as required
  • Manage the Events inbox and respond to enquiries
  • Support the Events team in the delivery of large-scale and complex events, providing administrative and technical support
  • Expectation to travel, work early mornings, late evenings and overnight stays across UK locations as required
  • Provide wider support and undertake other administrative tasks as required by the Marketing Events Manager

What you will need:

  • A genuine interest in events, administration and technology, with a proactive approach to learning
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively across multiple brands, teams and office locations
  • Confident using AV and event technology, with the confidence to troubleshoot technical issues and solve problems under pressure
  • Professional and confident when communicating with colleagues, clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • Calm, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to remain composed during live event delivery
  • Flexible and willing to travel, including working occasional early mornings, evenings and overnight stays across UK locations – this is a requirement of the role
  • Experience within a professional services or corporate environment would be advantageous
  • Experience in delivery of in-person events, such as conferences, networking events and panel discussions, from planning through to delivery and evaluation
  • Experience with AV equipment and event technology, including setup and basic troubleshooting of microphones, cameras, presentation systems and audio equipment
  • Experience using webinar and virtual event platforms, such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Video filming and editing skills, ideally using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software
  • Exposure to CRM platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, for event marketing or data management would be advantageous
  • Candidates should have a basic familiarity with the following platforms, but full training and support will be provided

    • Wireless Microphones & PA Systems (Shure, SubZero, Sennheiser)
