Cathie is a global offshore engineering consultancy supporting renewable energy and infrastructure projects worldwide. Working internationally, we combine technical expertise with a collaborative approach to deliver complex offshore projects.

About the Position

We're looking for a proactive Marketing & Events Executive to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.

Supporting our Marketing Manager, Business Development team, Operations team and external marketing consultants, you'll help deliver Cathie's marketing and communications activities across our international business.

This is a hands-on role focused on coordinating events, creating marketing content, managing digital channels and supporting business development initiatives. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their marketing experience within a growing international engineering consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of Cathie's annual marketing and communications plan.
  • Coordinate conferences, exhibitions and client events in the UK and internationally.
  • Create and schedule content across social media platforms.
  • Support the management of the marketing budget, tracking expenditure, and assisting with effective allocation of spend across campaigns, events, and marketing activities.
  • Develop and update brochures, presentations, case studies and other marketing collateral.
  • Maintain website content using WordPress.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns and business development activities.
  • Assist with creating blogs, articles, project updates and client communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance and engagement metrics.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Support internal communications and SharePoint updates.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, agencies and consultants.
  • Travel occasionally to support key industry events.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience in a marketing, communications or events role.
  • Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating events and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Experience managing website content through WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
  • Experience managing social media channels.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience within engineering, consultancy, renewable energy or professional services.
  • Experience supporting Business Development teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and digital marketing tools.
  • Professional marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM) are advantageous.
