Our Marketing Excellence (MEX) team do just that, bringing inspiration and innovation to build the capability of our marketing team. They develop learning content and delivery mechanisms that empower and equip the team with the skills, knowledge and practices to enable them to perform.

We’re looking for a passionate, tech-savvy Marketing Assistant to provide the admin and co-ordination support which under-pins all of the amazing work that we do - whilst also bringing creativity and fresh ideas to the team. The role is all-encompassing and fast-paced - so being able to roll your sleeves up and work on initiative, prioritise, organise, plan and adapt effectively and at pace, will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in design and ideas for workshop content and creating workshop materials / PowerPoint templates and other branding requirements - and providing support for printing all workshop and meeting materials, working with internal and external printers and suppliers.
  • Organising and booking all meeting & event venues, once approved by MEX Team.
  • Organising travel and accommodation for MEX team once approved for all events in the annual calendar both local and global plus any additional or one off events that the MEX team may be required to lead or attend.
  • Supporting the MEX Programme Manager in the set up of all new suppliers onto the SAP system and providing support to clients using the system.
  • Using the SAP system to raise Purchase Orders and liasing with suppliers once budget spend is approved by MEX team to ensure that POs are delivered to suppliers promptly.
  • Support the Director of Insight in creating a collaborative forum within the global Insight Team.
  • Provide support to the MEX Programme Manager and team in running the Communities of Best Practice for workstreams within the MEX Catalyst programme.
  • Provide support to the MEX Programme Manager and team in the collation of content & resources for the Learning Management System.
  • Inductions; support with all new delegates to the global marketing community ensuring they have access to the relevant training materials and workshops.
  • Effective and proactive diary management for the Directors of Marketing Excellence and Insight together with the MEX Programme Manager.
  • Ad-Hoc/Additional; support MEX teams on an ad-hoc basis with logistics or admin needs.

The role will necessitate occasional travel within the UK and will involve working with the marketing and insight teams across our global markets, as well as external suppliers and speakers and other key internal departments.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A confident self-starter, with a can-do attitude who loves a challenge. You’ll have strong organisation and planning skills and able to multi-task & prioritise, you have the ability and passion to works quickly and get things done.
  • You can bring structure and sequence to create joined up and effective plans with excellent attention to detail and high standards, with the experience to demonstrate it.
  • Computer literate and confident in Microsoft applications, digital / social platforms - whilst also being open to seeking out and learning new apps/tools/practices that can be applied to improve the MEX programme.
  • Foundational knowledge of graphic design applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Video Editing tools, with exposure to White Board Tools such as MIRO and Content Creation Tools such as Articulate and Digital Asset Management Tools.
  • Low ego and willing to listen and grow, you are hungry to learn, can work with incomplete information and ambiguity and seek out new sources to develop your skill set.
  • Experience of supporting and working in a broader team, planning and organising complex projects and events to deadlines and budget.
  • Experience of working with or alongside others from different cultures and geographies.
  • Experience and demonstrable examples of having pro actively learnt new “things” and effectively applying them and/or on boarding others to use them.
