Marketing Executive

Department: Marketing - On Property

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Hilton London Bankside

Compensation: £30,472 / month

Description

As Junior Marketing Executive, you will support the Head of Marketing – Hotels and Head of Marketing – Hilton London Bankside in delivering the Marketing and Communications strategy. The role will oversee day-to-day marketing activities and a broad range of tasks spanning across social media & content creation, email marketing, photo & video shoots, website optimisation, and designing collateral.

You will be a protector of all brands and ensure Hilton London Bankside is always positioned as a luxury property, and that expectations of IHG, Marriott, and Accor are met for the relevant core hotels. You will be a key point of contact for all hotel teams, with a particular focus on Hilton London Bankside as well as affiliate partners and suppliers and must ensure a positive and professional working relationship is maintained. Finally, you will work creatively with both Heads of Marketing to ensure the business is always adapting and staying relevant within the market. You will support on administrative tasks when required and support the wider marketing team in times of need.

You will report and monitor successes across all campaigns and promotions, feeding into commercial decisions made by the Head of Marketing – Hotels & Head of Marketing (Hilton London Bankside).

Key Responsibilities

The Role

  • Social Media – content creation, planning, and scheduling
  • Email Marketing – planning and execution
  • Reporting & Monitoring – measuring success of current campaigns and promotions
  • Photography / Videography – Take ownership of and lead photo & video shoots
  • Oxbo / Distillery/ Bankside Ballroom websites – support with updates and maintenance, as well as elevate UX and drive conversion rate on site.
  • Supporting with Digital PR & PR initiatives (incl. Influencer partnerships)

The Team

  • Growth of social media platforms, in terms of engagement and followers
  • Ensure clear and consistent reporting, to show success of campaigns/initiatives
  • Drive direct business %, and drive conversion on all websites.
  • Deliver creative campaigns that contribute to overall Hotel/Revenue Strategy
  • Identify trends, and adapt approach as needed
  • Support all hotel functions to support overall strategy
  • Website maintenance, optimisations, and updates
  • Social media channels
  • Channel performance monitoring
  • Work with third parties to support promotional activities and report/track
  • Update databases and maintain our CRM system to ensure targeted and streamlined email database opportunities
  • Write creative copy
  • Coordinate internal marketing activity
  • Support with all Digital PR initiatives
  • Create and send out email campaigns for Oxbo & Distillery
  • Oversee photography/videography shoots to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Uphold brand standards
  • Attend and contribute to creative brainstorm sessions to ensure we are ahead of any market curves

Preferred: You are:

  • Skilled in IT (across Microsoft platforms)
  • Experience using Canva and social media scheduling tools (e.g. Later, Hootsuite)
  • Experience in creating and sending email campaigns (e.g. via Hootsuite or CRM tools)
  • Experience with WordPress or other CMS (not essential)
  • Any Adobe experience (not essential)

Proven experience/education level

  • Undergraduate marketing, PR and/or communications degree
  • OR
  • A couple of years’ experience in a similar role.
