London Treasury’s mission is to help local authorities achieve better outcomes from their investments and treasury management activities. Created as an arm’s length subsidiary by the Greater London Authority (GLA), it addresses liquidity, treasury, net zero and SME investment challenges faced by its clients. London Treasury is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to facilitate sharing our areas of expertise with the public sector.
Purpose of the Role
London Treasury (the Company) has seen significant growth and expansion in its services over the last few years, leading to a significant increase in marketing activity. The Marketing Executive supports the Head of Marketing and Investee Networks with the Company’s marketing activity across all digital and traditional channels, preparation and delivery of events, and design of marketing assets for all our service lines.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications Strategy
- Support the development and implementation of Marketing and Communications strategies across the Company.
- Manage the Company’s content management systems (WordPress and Prismic) by regularly monitoring the London Treasury (LTL) and Funding London (FL) websites and implementing updates as needed, ensuring they are current, relevant and optimised.
- Create and manage content on the Company’s social media platforms (X and LinkedIn), which will drive traffic to our Company (LTL and FL) websites.
- Monitor and report on established key metrics for social media.
- Manage the development and distribution of quarterly newsletters for the Company.
- Support the production of marketing and business development collateral for the Company’s service lines, reports (ensuring accessibility requirements are met) and other ad hoc materials.
- Support the Head of Marketing and Investee Networks with the Company’s PR initiatives and internal communications.
- Support the implementation of activities targeting London Boroughs and other target groups.
- Foster the growth of the Company’s communities through marketing activities.
- Support the Head of Marketing and Investee Networks with ad-hoc admin tasks and new initiatives.

Events
- Support the Head of Marketing and Investee Networks with planning and implementation of the Company’s events.
- Support with the promotion of events across all social media platforms, communication with attendees and speakers, and on-the-day logistics.
Brand Discipline
- Ensure all marketing communications adhere to relevant brand guidelines, tone of voice, visual identity, GLA style guide and other adopted benchmarks from time to time.
- Maintain brand consistency across digital, print, social media, events, presentations and external communications.
- Work with the LTL team and external partners to ensure brand standards are understood and consistently applied.
Role Specific Requirements
- Relevant qualification (degree or professional qualification) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrable experience in:
- Marketing across digital and traditional marketing channels, with a focus on social media.
- Managing and updating WordPress CMS.
- Developing digital assets and marketing collateral in Canva and Adobe InDesign.
- Building, updating and managing Mailchimp email campaigns and customer data management.
- Navigating the Google Cloud console.
- Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office core applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Strong and effective time management, organisational/multi-tasking and prioritising skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and communications skills.
- Knowledge and interest in project management and event organising.
- Willingness to undertake training and development as required by the firm from time to time.
- AI fluency, with the ability to leverage tools and insights to drive business impact, ensuring ethical and responsible use.
