Marketing Executive
Reports to: Vicki Hayward, Marketing Manager
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000
Location: Remote
Why we need YOU
Vicki and Jamie have set the direction – website, Google and AI visibility, LinkedIn, email, content. The plan exists. What's missing is someone to build and ship against it, fast, end to end.
We're not looking for someone who waits to be told what to do next. We want someone who takes a brief, fills in the gaps, and runs with it – then tells us when something isn't working before it becomes a problem. Do that well and this role gets more independent, not less.
What you'll do
Content
- Write and schedule Breakthrough Commerce and Friday Five to JH's editorial direction.
- Own the LinkedIn content calendar and posting cadence.
- Turn internal expertise into drafts for blog and newsletter, and support building playbooks and ebooks.
- Every piece gets repurposed – newsletter runs, LinkedIn series, gated landing pages where it earns one – rather than dying as a single post.
Website
- Make the on-page changes that come out of SEO and CRO priorities: page updates, metadata, schema, internal linking, campaign landing pages, basic tracking.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Search and AI visibility
- Implement the technical and content changes behind our GEO/SEO strategy: structured data, FAQ schema, content built for AI answer platforms.
- Track how JH shows up in Google and AI tools and report what's changing.
LinkedIn growth
- Write and publish the content calendar for the JH page and, where it makes sense, Jamie's profile.
- Handle engagement and community management.
- Test formats and report what's working.
Campaign execution
- Ship campaigns end to end: outbound sequences, content-led projects, partner activity.
Event support
- Hands-on delivery for MMUK, MxLDN and retailer events: logistics, speaker and session identification, promotion, and the follow-up and repurposing that comes after.
- Every event runs on a cycle, not a one-off.
What success looks like by month six
- Breakthrough Commerce and Friday Five shipping on a reliable weekly cadence, no missed sends
- LinkedIn calendar running consistently, with formats tested and results reported back
- A visible on-page SEO/CRO backlog, with pages moving through it rather than stacking up
- At least one campaign taken from brief to launch to repurposed assets, without hand-holding
- One event supported end to end, including a documented follow-up plan
- A basic reporting rhythm on how JH shows up in Google and AI tools

The skills and mindset we value
- A genuine self-starter who fills in the gaps in a rough brief rather than waiting for instructions.
- Someone who uses AI tools daily because they already know it makes them faster, not because they've been told to.
- Organised enough to run several channels at once without anything slipping – and confident enough to flag it early if something is.
- Someone who wants the reasoning behind the work, not just a task list.
What's in it for you
Direct exposure to how JH builds and runs marketing at agency level, working alongside Vicki and Jamie. Real ownership across content, LinkedIn, search and events rather than a single lane. Room to grow into more independence as you prove you can run with it.
