Marketing Executive
Location: Hartwell Head Office, Wootton, near Abingdon
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm, with a one-hour lunch break
Working arrangement: Office based
Reporting to: Brand Marketing Manager

Hartwell Automotive Group is a leading automotive dealership group committed to providing high-quality vehicles and excellent customer service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Marketing Executive to join our in-house marketing team. This is an opportunity for someone beginning their marketing career or looking to build on their existing experience within a varied, multi-channel role.
You will support the planning and delivery of marketing activity across the Group, working closely with the wider marketing team, our retailers and external partners.
The role
As a Marketing Executive, you will help deliver campaigns across a range of digital and traditional marketing channels.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating events, creating social media content, updating website content, and providing marketing administration and operational support. You will also help ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time and in line with Group and manufacturer requirements.
Key responsibilities
Campaign coordination
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of Group and retailer marketing campaigns.
- Assist with setting up and distributing campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Coordinate campaign assets, information, and communications for retailers.
- Maintain marketing calendars, campaign schedules, and workflow trackers.
- Support internal campaign planning and approval processes.
- Assist with manufacturer and Group marketing compliance administration.

Digital content
- Create and coordinate content for Hartwell’s social media channels.
- Add, review, and update content across Hartwell websites.
- Carry out routine website content checks and help maintain accurate online information.
- Support the marketing team with digital assets and campaign materials.
Events and retailer support
- Help coordinate retailer events, vehicle launches, and local marketing activity.
- Support retailers with marketing requests, campaign information, and promotional materials.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners when required.
- Attend Hartwell locations and events where necessary.
Administration and reporting
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the wider marketing team.
- Support CRM database management, data accuracy, and cleansing activities.
- Collate campaign results and performance information for reporting.
- Maintain accurate marketing records and campaign documentation.
About you
You will be organised, approachable, and comfortable working with different teams across the business. You will take pride in producing accurate work and be willing to ask questions, learn new skills, and develop your marketing knowledge.
You should have:
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders at different levels.
- A practical and logical approach to solving problems.
- A willingness to learn, seek guidance, and take on new responsibilities.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience and qualifications
- A-levels or equivalent qualifications or experience (required).
- Previous experience in a marketing, communications, or administrative role (desirable).
- A qualification in marketing, business, or a related subject, such as a CIM qualification (desirable).
- Experience creating or coordinating digital and social media content (desirable).
- An interest in the automotive industry (desirable).
- A full UK driving licence (required).

- A basic salary of £27,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
