About Rat Race
Rat Race is a company that organises extraordinary global adventures for everyday people. With unique events that range from trekking through humid jungles to running across frozen lakes, Rat Race offers exceptional challenges in incredible places. We are a dynamic consumer brand that has taken its operations fully international in recent years with audacious travel and event concepts on all 7 continents.
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join the Rat Race team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some marketing experience who is looking to take the next step in their career, broaden their marketing skillset and develop their experience across multiple channels.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you’ll play an important role in delivering Rat Race’s day-to-day marketing activity - helping to bring our extraordinary adventures to life through engaging email, social media and website content.
You’ll be hands-on, organised and creative, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. This is a varied role where no two days will necessarily be the same, and where you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills across the wider marketing mix.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
