Location: London / Hybrid, 3 days a week in our office near King's Cross Reporting to: Head of Marketing Company: Global Government Forum (GGF), part of Pendragon International Media Ltd

We deliver a growing portfolio of events, summits, training programmes, advisory, webinars, research and editorial content across areas including digital transformation, data and AI, leadership, policy, workforce and public service delivery.

Our audiences span government departments, local government, the NHS and other public sector organisations across the UK and internationally.

About the role:

We're looking for a proactive, organised and creative Marketing Executive to join our marketing function.

This is a hands-on and varied role, supporting the promotion of our events, training programmes, webinars and content. You'll work across email marketing, social media, website management, content creation and campaign delivery, working closely with the Head of Marketing and colleagues across events, editorial and sales.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of marketing activity, develop your digital marketing skills and work across a diverse portfolio of campaigns and audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Marketing

  • Create, write and schedule email campaigns
  • Write clear, engaging and audience-focused copy for events, training, webinars and other campaigns
  • Build and manage mailing lists and audience segments
  • Support campaign planning, scheduling and delivery
  • Monitor email performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement and conversions
  • Maintain accurate campaign records and marketing data

Social Media

  • Develop and schedule LinkedIn content for events, speakers, training and other GGF activity
  • Write engaging copy tailored to a professional public sector audience
  • Support social media campaign planning and content calendars
  • Promote speakers, sessions, research and other key content
  • Monitor performance and use insights to improve future content

Website Management

  • Upload and update event, training and content pages in WordPress
  • Ensure website content is accurate, well structured and engaging
  • Help maintain consistency across website pages
  • Support SEO, including page titles, headings, content and keywords
  • Identify opportunities to improve website content and user experience

Content Creation

  • Write and edit blogs, event descriptions, promotional copy and other marketing content
  • Support the creation of training materials, blogs, handbooks and other content
  • Develop promotional content around speakers, sessions and programmes
  • Adapt content for different channels and audiences

Design

  • Using Canva, create simple, professional marketing assets

Campaign & Marketing Support

  • Support the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate campaign activity across email, social media and websites
  • Help manage marketing timelines and deadlines
  • Assist with CRM and marketing data management
  • Work closely with events, editorial and sales teams
  • Support reporting on campaign performance and results
  • Take ownership of agreed campaigns and projects from planning through to delivery

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Strong written communication and copywriting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working across multiple digital platforms and tools
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Confident learning new systems and processes
  • Interest in marketing, events or the public sector

Desirable

  • Experience using some or all of the following:
    • Zoho Campaigns or a similar email marketing platform
    • WordPress or another CMS
    • Canva
    • LinkedIn and social media management tools
    • CRM or marketing databases
    • Basic SEO and website analytics
  • Experience writing marketing content for email, web or social media would also be beneficial.
