About Us
We’re a growing business in the waste management sector, operating as a broker with a strong focus on customer service and digital lead generation. We have over 40,000 customers across various sectors in the UK, and we're expanding fast. With multiple websites under our umbrella, we’re looking to strengthen our branding, organic lead generation, conversion rate optimisation, and content creation to further aid with our success.
The Role
As our Marketing Executive, you’ll work with the Head of Marketing and other members of the marketing team to deliver the strategy. You’ll be a key member of the team and should have good generalist knowledge of many areas of marketing. You should be proactive and data-driven, bringing your skills to the table to look for improvements or new ways of achieving our goals.
You’ll be responsible for social media, content creation, website maintenance, reporting, customer communications, and more. You’ll support with tasks such as CRO, PPC, vertical campaigns, digital PR, and SEO.
This role provides a great opportunity to learn and develop within a successful, fast-paced business. You’ll have a supportive team to work alongside and the opportunity to put your mark on the work produced.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day marketing activities across multiple brands, ensuring consistency of messaging and brand identity.
- Create engaging content for websites, blogs, social media, and email campaigns to support lead generation and customer engagement.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor social media activity across key platforms, driving reach, engagement, and growth.
- Support our SEO Specialist through tasks such as keyword research, content optimisation, link-building outreach, and technical best practices.
- Assist in managing and optimising PPC campaigns, working closely with the Head of Marketing to maximise ROI.
- Contribute to conversion rate optimisation (CRO) initiatives, including A/B testing and user journey improvements.
- Maintain and update WordPress websites, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and optimised for performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with press contacts to secure digital PR coverage and backlink opportunities (working in collaboration with our SEO and digital PR agency).
- Track and report on marketing performance using tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct internal reporting using Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing campaigns that support business growth across different verticals.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Take ownership of specific projects and campaigns, managing them from concept through to delivery.
- Support with internal marketing – further enhancing our company culture and communicating our mission and values.

Requirements & Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing role
- Excellent copywriting ability
- Time management (consistently reaches deadlines)
- Enthusiastic and motivated to learn
- Ability to assist with multiple projects at once
- Some design experience with tools such as Canva or the Adobe suite
- Some experience with SEO tools like SEMrush and Google Analytics would be useful
- Some experience with WordPress CMS
- Experience in social media marketing
- Experience working with the press and getting articles published
- Must be able to reliably commute to our Newcastle office
- Ability to work independently, suggest improvements, and “get stuck in”
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Intermediate skills in Excel
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
