Reporting to: Revenue Marketing Manager

Business: European Safety Bureau (ESB)

Role Purpose

The Marketing Executive will support the growth of ESB by turning agreed marketing strategy and commercial priorities into high-quality, finished marketing activity.

This is a hands-on execution role. The successful candidate will work closely with the Revenue Marketing Manager to research, create, coordinate, publish and report on marketing activity across ESB’s core sectors.

The role will suit someone who is commercially curious, organised, comfortable working with technical subject matter, and able to turn expert knowledge into clear and engaging marketing content.

ESB has more than 38 years of audit and assurance experience across sectors including contract catering, hotels, care, QSR, leisure and education. A key part of the role will be helping turn that experience, customer history and technical expertise into visible proof, content and campaigns that support commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution

  • Support the delivery of integrated B2B marketing campaigns across ESB’s priority sectors.
  • This will include:
    • Creating campaign assets across email, LinkedIn, website and sales collateral
    • Supporting vertical campaigns for sectors such as contract catering, hotels, care, QSR and leisure
    • Building and maintaining campaign calendars
    • Coordinating campaign deadlines, assets and approvals
    • Supporting targeted outbound activity
    • Helping ensure campaigns move from idea to execution efficiently
    • Monitoring campaign performance and supporting ongoing optimisation

The Revenue Marketing Manager will define the strategic direction, audience, proposition and commercial objective. The Marketing Executive will help turn that direction into finished marketing activity.

Content Creation and Copywriting

  • Create clear, commercially relevant content for ESB’s target audiences.
  • This may include:
    • LinkedIn content
    • Email campaigns
    • Website copy
    • Blogs and articles
    • Case studies
    • Customer stories
    • One-page sales assets
    • Thought-leadership content
    • Customer communications
    • Event and webinar collateral
    • Sales-enablement material

A significant part of the role will involve working with ESB’s consultants and auditors to turn technical expertise into accessible, engaging marketing content.

Customer Proof and Case Studies

  • Help build a strong and reusable library of customer proof.
  • Responsibilities will include:
    • Researching existing customer relationships
    • Preparing customer interview questions
    • Coordinating case-study interviews
    • Drafting customer stories and testimonials
    • Identifying useful quotes and proof points
    • Producing one-page case studies and supporting assets
    • Maintaining an organised proof library
    • Repurposing customer stories across multiple channels

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The objective is to turn ESB’s long-standing customer relationships and audit experience into visible commercial credibility.

Thought Leadership

  • Support the development of ESB’s position as an authority within operational assurance.
  • This will include:
    • Interviewing auditors and consultants
    • Identifying useful technical insights
    • Producing articles, posts and customer communications
    • Monitoring relevant industry and regulatory topics
    • Repurposing technical expertise into commercially useful content
    • Supporting publication through LinkedIn, email and the ESB website

Content should focus on practical insight rather than generic marketing activity.

Benchmark Campaigns

  • Support the development and execution of ESB benchmark campaigns.
  • This may include:
    • Researching target audiences
    • Supporting survey and questionnaire development
    • Creating campaign landing pages
    • Producing email and LinkedIn assets
    • Coordinating respondent communications
    • Supporting data and insight presentation
    • Helping package benchmark findings into reports and content
    • Repurposing benchmark insights for sales and marketing activity

Benchmarks may initially focus on areas such as hotels, contract catering, care and operational assurance.

Website and Digital Content

  • Support the ongoing development of the ESB website and digital presence.
  • Responsibilities may include:
    • Updating website content through CMS platforms
    • Creating and refreshing sector pages
    • Improving calls to action
    • Supporting landing-page creation
    • Updating case studies and proof
    • Reviewing pages for accuracy and consistency
    • Supporting basic SEO activity
    • Ensuring content remains commercially relevant and up to date

The role is not expected to define ESB’s overall positioning independently, but will be expected to execute agreed messaging effectively.

Existing Customer Marketing

  • Support structured marketing activity across ESB’s existing customer base.
  • This may include:
    • Customer newsletters and communications
    • Cross-sell campaigns
    • Service-awareness campaigns
    • Customer segmentation
    • Account-specific marketing support
    • Testimonial and referral activity
    • Customer event or webinar promotion

The purpose is to help ESB deepen existing customer relationships and identify additional revenue opportunities.

Market and Account Research

  • Conduct research to support campaign and commercial activity.
  • This will include:
    • Target-account research
    • Sector research
    • Competitor research
    • Buyer-persona research
    • Identifying relevant industry trends
    • Supporting database and contact-list development
    • Researching customer and prospect organisations ahead of campaigns

The Marketing Executive should be comfortable learning unfamiliar markets and developing a strong understanding of ESB’s customers.

Sales Enablement

  • Support ESB’s commercial team with relevant marketing materials.
  • This may include:
    • Sales one-pagers
    • Sector-specific collateral
    • Case studies
    • Proposal content
    • Presentation materials
    • Customer proof
    • Campaign follow-up assets
    • Email templates

Marketing activity should support commercial conversations rather than operate independently of them.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who is early in their marketing career but already capable of producing high-quality work independently.

Useful experience may include:

  • B2B marketing
  • Content creation and copywriting
  • Email marketing
  • LinkedIn and social media
  • WordPress or another CMS
  • Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • CRM and email marketing platforms
  • Basic video editing
  • Campaign reporting and analytics
  • Customer communications
  • Market and competitor research
  • Case-study development
  • Project coordination

Experience within food safety, assurance or professional services is not essential. The ability and willingness to learn technical subject matter is more important.

Personal Attributes

The successful candidate will be:

  • Commercially curious
  • A strong written communicator
  • Organised and dependable
  • Comfortable managing several priorities
  • Proactive
  • Comfortable receiving feedback
  • Able to work independently once briefed
  • Confident speaking with internal subject-matter experts
  • Interested in learning technical topics
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving SME environment
  • Focused on completing work, not simply generating ideas

What Success Looks Like

Within the first few months, the Marketing Executive should be able to:

  • Explain clearly what ESB does and why customers buy
  • Understand ESB’s priority sectors and buyer groups
  • Turn auditor and consultant expertise into usable marketing content
  • Produce high-quality campaign assets with limited supervision
  • Build customer proof and case studies
  • Support vertical and benchmark campaigns
  • Maintain ESB’s website and content programme
  • Coordinate marketing activity and deadlines effectively
  • Provide useful campaign reporting
  • Progress work proactively without requiring every individual step to be prescribed

Ultimately, the role exists to help turn ESB’s expertise, customer relationships and market knowledge into consistent, commercially useful marketing activity.
