Position Overview
The Marketing Executive is a hands-on delivery role within the Events & Marketing Services team. The role supports the planning, execution, and reporting of marketing campaigns across Insurance Insider’s conferences, awards, and wider event portfolio.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will support campaign delivery across copywriting, asset coordination, email and social execution, stakeholder communication, and performance reporting. Over time, the role will take increasing day-to-day ownership of campaign execution, allowing the Marketing Manager to focus more on strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Conferences and Awards
- Support marketing activity for major events, including the London Market Conference, New York Conference, ILS Connect, Insurance Insider Honours, US Honors, and ILS Awards.
- Responsibilities include supporting campaign briefs, contributing ideas, coordinating creative assets, scheduling and sending campaigns, posting across channels, and supporting reporting and optimization.
Insider Progress and Executive Business Club
- Own campaign briefs and day-to-day execution following initial strategy and launch discussions with the Marketing Manager.
- Lead copywriting, support design and asset production, manage campaign reporting, and act as the main point of contact for stakeholders and commercial teams.
Webinars, Roundtables, and Sponsored Video
- Produce sales packs and creative assets to support commercial campaigns.
- Lead copywriting for invitations, promotional materials, and sales collateral, liaise with Operations on agenda and speaker requirements, and support campaign reporting.

Ongoing Marketing Activity
- Support social media management, brand and marketing copywriting, portfolio planning, process improvements, and monthly lead reporting.
Key Measures of Success
Success in this role will be measured by timely delivery of campaigns to brand standard, strong attention to detail, effective campaign execution, clear communication with Operations, Sales, and other stakeholders, and support for delegate revenue, sponsorship, and table sales targets. The role will also be expected to demonstrate strong ownership of day-to-day marketing execution, helping the Marketing Manager focus more on strategic priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Experience in B2B marketing execution, including email, social media, and campaign delivery
- Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work to briefs and manage multiple campaigns at once
- Proactive, organized, and confident working with stakeholders across the business
- Comfortable using AI tools and systems
Desirable
- Experience marketing B2B conferences, awards, or events
- Knowledge of, or interest in, the insurance or reinsurance market
- Experience using email marketing or CRM platforms, social scheduling tools, and design tools such as Canva or Adobe
- Experience with campaign performance reporting and optimization

Person Specification
We are looking for someone with a positive, proactive, and can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be organized, collaborative, approachable, and able to work independently. They should be able to prioritize across multiple tasks, adapt to changing deadlines, learn quickly, and maintain strong attention to detail while also identifying the key issues that matter.
Working Conditions
- Working hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Hybrid working, with expected attendance in the London office on Wednesdays
- Attendance required at UK-based events, with possible attendance at events in Europe and the USA
- Working hours may vary around event dates, and some days may be longer than standard working hours
- Weekend travel may occasionally be required
- Discretionary time in lieu is available and can be discussed with the team manager.
