Overview of the role

An exciting opening has arisen in the Incisive Media marketing team for a Marketing Executive to work in the finance division.

You will be joining a fun, supportive and hardworking marketing team where ideas are welcome, creativity is encouraged and support is given. We are looking for a dynamic and positive marketing person who will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns to drive the event delegate registrations and awards entries for one of the leading brands.

We are looking for someone who has some marketing experience, preferably in a similar role, who is looking to take your next step up. The applicant should have strong attention to detail, great writing skills and be creative minded. You will need to have a positive, hands on attitude and be someone who is full of ideas and has motivation to learn.

The role is perfect for someone who is looking to get stuck into a role that has a lot of learning and development opportunities.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day marketing of the events and awards schedule across full marketing mix (email, social, telemarketing, website etc)
  • Contribute to the success of events with registrations and awards entries to ensure growth each year
  • Liaise with relevant departments internally to ensure effective marketing of the events at all levels – sales, operations, editorial and design
  • Monitoring and reporting of marketing spend against budget. Maintaining the central cost control sheets in order to keep an accurate record of costs.
  • Ensuring content is current, accurate and relevant across our website and event collateral
  • Support the commercial team via dedicated sponsorship marketing campaigns & generating marketing qualified leads
  • Develop effective marketing strategies and plans to communicate the features and benefits of our events to the audience
  • To conduct clear post-event analysis and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities to assist in the planning of future campaigns. To include; booking patterns, no-show rates, marketing spend, data review and channel analysis
  • Writing copy for emails and social posts – reviewing success of campaigns and improving performance
  • Attend events and awards when required

What we value

  • Experience in marketing within a similar role would be preferential
  • Experience of financial services markets would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and great initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and with targets
  • Confidence to work with varying levels of seniority within the business and external clients at events
