Salt Town Contractors are expanding their Cheshire office and seeking a creative, driven Marketing Executive (or recent graduate) to support digital, social and offline marketing activity across all channels.
Wage
- £15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

- 8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What You'll Do at Work
The role involves producing daily content, managing campaigns, writing blogs, designing graphics, and supporting the growth of one of the UK’s fastest developing roofing contractors. This position suits someone with strong creative ability, excellent writing skills, and hands on digital marketing experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily Social Media Management
- Create, schedule and publish daily content across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Design graphics using Canva and other creative tools.
- Produce short form videos, reels and promotional content.
- Coordinate social messaging with the sales team.
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages.
- Publish, monitor and respond to editorial, creative or video content via website and social/video platforms.

Blog & Written Content Creation
- Write weekly blogs covering roofing trends, new technologies, case studies and industry insights.
- Produce long form SEO content including guides, FAQs and educational articles.
- Ensure all written content aligns with brand tone and supports lead generation.

Digital Marketing
- Manage and optimise Google Ads PPC campaigns.
- Build and send email campaigns via Mailchimp.
- Update and maintain WordPress website content.
- Use keyword research tools to support SEO and campaign planning.
- Run email campaigns and PPC campaigns in line with marketing strategy.

Design & Creative
- Produce print media such as brochures, flyers and event banners.
- Create branded assets for digital and offline campaigns.
- Ensure all creative output meets STC brand guidelines.

Research & Insight
- Conduct industry research into roofing and construction trends, new technologies and regulations.
- Utilise research and insight to propose campaign ideas for director sign off.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments.

Events & Partnerships
- Support organisation of webinars, trade events and sponsorship activities (such as raft race and BJJ sponsorship).
- Liaise with affiliates and partners to promote joint marketing activity.

Reporting & CRM
- Maintain accurate customer data within CRM systems.
- Provide monthly marketing performance reports and presentations to management.
- Track KPIs across social media, PPC, email and website activity.

What You'll Learn
Course contents:
- Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
- Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
- Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
- Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
- Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
- Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
- Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
- Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
- Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
- Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
- Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
- Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
- Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
- Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
- Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
- Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
- Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Digital Marketing and AI Executive and Certified Digital Marketing Professional by DMI, with training in how to:
- Master the art of crafting compelling content tailored for diverse audiences and a variety of marketing channels, ensuring sensitivity and effectiveness in communication.
- Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
- Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
- Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
