About the Role

At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer.

We’re looking for a passionate and energetic Awareness & Activation Marketing Executive, to help bring some of Cancer Research UK’s most high-profile campaigns to life, reaching millions of people and supporting our mission to beat cancer.

Working with internal teams and leading external agencies, you’ll develop and deliver audience-led integrated marketing campaigns across a range of channels, from TV and paid social to partnerships and print. From shaping briefs and creative through to launch, optimisation and evaluation, this role position plays a key role in delivering brand campaigns in a fast-paced team.

What will I be doing?

  • Insight & briefing – Bring together audience insight, previous campaign learnings and channel trends to help develop clear marketing briefs, objectives and KPIs.
  • Support the development and production of compelling creative, working with agencies and our internal Creative Studio across multiple channels, coordinating timings, feedback, approvals and campaign set-up.
  • Work with media agencies to brief against objectives, review channel plans, coordinate feedback and monitor performance, helping to optimise campaigns in-flight.
  • Support campaign reporting and evaluation, turning results and learnings into recommendations that help make future campaigns even better.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation and external agencies, partners and suppliers to deliver great campaigns, share best practice and drive results.
  • Lead the team’s monthly finance process, including raising POs, receipting, reconciliation and monitoring spend against budget.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
