About Us
Alkaid Global Limited is a UK-based trade and business-development company working with European manufacturers of technical and medical textiles and their commercial and institutional customers in China. We are a small team building our marketing foundations in English and Chinese, and this role will shape how we present and promote our business.
The Role
You will develop our B2B marketing materials, research our target markets and run targeted outreach to prospective customers and partners, and report on the results.
- Hours: 8–16 hours per week depending on workload (minimum 8 hours guaranteed), flexible days
- Pay: £15.00 per hour
- Contract: Fixed-term, 2 November 2026 to 31 May 2027, with a three-month review. Extension possible subject to business need and the candidate's right to work.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Alkaid's English and Chinese marketing collateral: company profile, capability presentations, product and technical information sheets
- Research target buyers, distributors and competitors in the technical and medical textile market (UK, EU, China); produce a monthly insight brief with recommendations on positioning, messaging and promotion
- Plan and run targeted outreach (email, LinkedIn and other professional platforms) to named prospects and partners; monitor responses and report results
- Prepare marketing materials and follow-up for trade fairs, exhibitions and client meetings
- Maintain our website content and professional-platform presence, publishing as content becomes available
- Maintain an enquiry and prospect tracker and present a monthly activity report to the director
- Brief and coordinate freelance designers or translators where needed

Essential
- Experience (including internships or placements) in marketing, communications or content work
- Strong writing, research and analytical skills, with confidence reporting on results
- Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese, reflecting the audiences this role supports
- Existing right to work in the UK for this role, and availability alongside any other commitments. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
