The Opportunity
We're looking for a Marketing Executive – Ticketing Campaigns to join our Marketing Planning & Campaigns team and play a key role in helping fill St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park for every fixture.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marketer with experience in campaign planning, media strategy or channel planning who understands football supporters and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for planning, delivering and optimising ticketing campaigns across Birmingham City Men's and Women's fixtures, creating compelling supporter journeys that drive ticket sales and maximise attendance.
Working closely with Ticketing, CRM, Digital, Brand & Creative, Content and Performance Marketing teams, you will build integrated campaigns that convert supporter interest into matchday attendance while continuously improving campaign performance through insight and data.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning & Delivery
- Plan and deliver end-to-end ticketing campaigns for Birmingham City Men's and Women's teams, including season ticket launches, renewals and match-by-match ticket sales.
- Develop clear campaign briefs outlining objectives, audiences, budget allocation, channels and success measures.
- Brief internal creative teams and external agencies to produce high-quality campaign assets.
- Create integrated campaigns that combine storytelling, urgency and supporter engagement to drive ticket sales.
- Work closely with the Ticketing team to align marketing activity with pricing strategies, sales phases and supporter communications.

- Develop detailed media and channel plans for all ticketing campaigns.
- Define audience targeting, channel roles, budget allocation and expected outcomes.
- Utilise owned, paid, earned and partnership channels to maximise campaign reach and effectiveness.
- Ensure marketing activity is aligned with wider Club commercial objectives.
CRM & Copywriting
- Collaborate with the CRM team to create segmented email, SMS and push notification campaigns.
- Build supporter journeys targeting new, repeat, lapsed and prospective ticket purchasers.
- Produce engaging and persuasive copy for email campaigns, digital advertising, websites, mobile applications and social media.
- Test and optimise messaging through audience insight and campaign performance analysis.
Reporting, Analytics & Insight
- Build and maintain campaign tracking tools that monitor ticket sales, channel performance and supporter engagement.
- Implement campaign tracking through UTMs, pixels, conversion events and ticketing integrations.
- Produce timely campaign reports and actionable recommendations to improve future performance.
- Analyse campaign results and supporter behaviour to inform marketing strategy and decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Develop strong working relationships across Ticketing, CRM, Performance Marketing, Digital, Content, Brand & Creative, Communications and Partnerships teams.
- Work effectively with external media and creative agencies.
- Support the delivery of wider Club marketing initiatives where required.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing marketing environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Qualification in Marketing, Business, Sport Management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrable experience (typically 2+ years) planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable commercial outcomes.
- Experience creating detailed media and channel plans including audience development, budgeting and KPI management.
- Strong CRM and email marketing experience, including segmentation, automation and A/B testing.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt messaging across different audiences and channels.
- Strong reporting, analytics and campaign tracking capabilities.
- Advanced organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable
- Digital marketing certifications such as Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Meta Blueprint or TikTok Academy.
- CRM or marketing automation platform certifications.
- Experience working within media, communications planning, integrated or performance marketing agencies.
- Ticketing, membership or live events marketing experience.
- Experience with attribution modelling, conversion tracking and reporting tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working within professional sport, football or supporter-focused environments.
