About Softwire

Softwire is a leading UK technology and strategy consultancy. From enterprise to government, we help visionary organisations turn strategic ambitions into results at scale. Our practices cover AI transformation, data platforms, systems engineering, advanced CX, and experience design.

Softwire was founded on one simple idea: be the outstanding place to work for smart, passionate technologists who want to make an impact. Attract the best, create a culture where people thrive, and offer our customers access to capabilities that are truly market leading.

And it seems to be working - We were recently voted number 1 company to work for in the UK at the Best Company awards; we employ outstanding people across all capabilities (typical destinations after Softwire include Google, DeepMind, start-up founder, algorithmic trading, and AI research roles); and we have helped our clients deliver some of the hardest, most interesting tech programmes, across private and public sectors.

A big part of this is our culture and values and we are looking for people who share our core beliefs about what makes a great place to work:

  • That if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing properly
  • That work should be fulfilling but can also be fun
  • That kindness matters and should be extended to employees and clients alike
  • That by being trusting and trustworthy as an organisation and as individuals we can dispense with tedious bureaucracy and rules

In brief

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to join Softwire’s marketing team. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate closely with the wider team supporting them across events, digital, campaigns, CRM, and content.

As Marketing Executive, you’re a core part of the team from day one: your contribution to keeping things running, the data, the calendar, the website, the assets, enables the rest of the team to do their best work.

This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, curious, and wants to develop across all areas of marketing.

The role

Digital & social media

  • Plan and coordinate the social media content calendar, working with the team to ensure posts are on-brand, timely, and aligned with wider campaign activity.
  • Write and schedule social content across relevant platforms, adapting tone and format to suit each channel.
  • Manage updates to the company website, including new content, landing pages, and campaign-related changes, ensuring accuracy and a consistent brand experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

CRM & marketing operations

  • Support the maintenance of data accuracy within the CRM (Hubspot): updating contact records, checking list quality, and helping to ensure segmentation is clean and up to date.
  • Help build and maintain basic marketing dashboards and reports, developing your ability to read the data and understand what it’s telling the team.
  • Contribute to keeping the team's shared tools in good order: content library, campaign trackers, social calendar, and briefing templates, as well as supporting the team's use of our SEO and search tools (SEMrush), web analytics (Matomo), and planning and project management platforms (Monday.com).

Campaign support

  • Work with the marketing team and GTMs to plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns, helping to coordinate assets and manage timelines.
  • Help track campaign performance by pulling data from relevant tools and compiling clear, straightforward reports for the team with any recommendations to improve reach, engagement, and ROI.
  • Support the delivery of email and paid social campaigns.

Content & brand support

  • Partner with the Content Manager and Designer to develop and deliver high-quality, on-brand marketing assets and collateral that support campaigns and events.
  • Ensure that everything you produce or coordinate meets Softwire’s brand and quality standards.

Events

  • Support the GTM Marketing teams with the logistics, promotions, communications for sponsored events.
  • Take the lead on specific smaller events as you grow into the role, building towards end-to-end ownership with guidance from the team.
  • Support post-event follow-up processes: helping to ensure leads are logged accurately in the CRM and that follow-up communications go out on time.

Working as part of the marketing collective

Softwire’s marketing team operates as a collective rather than a hierarchy. It is a blended group of internal marketers, external agencies, freelancers all working from shared brand standards and a unified brief.

  • Approach your work with the collective in mind: keep shared tools organised, flag issues early, and make sure your work is visible and accessible to the team.
  • Experiment and leverage best in class marketing and AI tools as a learning aid and a practical part of your working practice and be curious about how the rest of the team uses them too.
  • Contribute to a ‘one brand, one voice’ approach: every asset created should feel unmistakably Softwire.
  • Share your observations with the team: because you work across so many areas, you’ll often be the first to notice when something isn’t joined up.

Experience and qualifications

You'll get the most out of this role if you are curious, organised, and take pride in doing things properly. We're not looking for a perfect CV, but we think the following will set you up for success.

  • Some experience in a marketing role, ideally within a B2B brand or consultancy.
  • Experience with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram, and an understanding of what makes content perform well in a professional B2B context.
  • Comfortable using digital tools and confident enough to learn new ones, whether that’s a CMS, a CRM, a scheduling tool, AI, or an analytics dashboard.
  • Strong attention to detail: you notice when something is wrong, you check your work before it goes out, and you care about accuracy.
  • Clear, professional written communication.
  • Well organised: you can keep track of multiple tasks, manage your own time sensibly, and ask for help when priorities conflict.
  • A team player, you’re collaborative by instinct, proactive about sharing information, and you understand that in a lean team everyone’s contribution matters.
  • Curious and self-motivated: you don’t wait to be told what to do next. You’re interested in how things work, you look for ways to improve, and you’re comfortable with feedback.
