Marketing Executive

The Role

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join us and play a key role in the next stage of our growth. This is a 360° role covering all aspects of marketing & branding from strategic to tactical, corporate to on-site. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced and growing business, with a high level of exposure to the Founder, Chief Executive, and Directors, as well as investor partners, and our residents.

The role is office-based at our London HQ (W1H 5BT), and requires some travel to our communities around the UK, with the option to do one day a week remote working after 3 months. Salary will depend on experience of the successful candidate and will be between £40k and £55k, with an annual discretionary bonus, and eligibility for Long-Term Incentive Programme (LTIP).

PLATFORM_ is one of the leading companies in the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector, and we are fully integrated, meaning we invest, design, build, and operate in-house, and have done so since 2016. During that time, we have won multiple awards, including 14 different awards in the past two years alone. Currently, we operate 1,500 apartments in Glasgow, Sheffield, Cardiff, and Edinburgh, and are building over 2,000 more in Leeds, Milton Keynes, and Bristol. BTR Scheme Marketing & Branding

  • Create, own and deliver the Marketing plan for our new and operational BTR schemes
  • Determine channel mix, route to market (direct or via agencies), budgets and objectives, and drive delivery
  • Cover all digital and offline media, including social media, website, PR & press releases, outdoor, digital audio
  • Influence and deliver design and production of collateral, including hoarding, social media posts, website pages
  • Manage relationships with third parties, such as digital agencies, Rightmove, PR agencies, website developers
  • Take responsibility for reporting, both to internal and external stakeholders, including CPL, CPA, and ROI

Company / Corporate Marketing & Branding

  • Set strategy for, contribute content to, and be responsible for delivery of PLATFORM_ company brand activities
  • This includes company websites, press releases, corporate social media channels, award submissions, IP claims
  • Set and deliver industry awards strategy, writing and submission process
  • Review Proptech and software tools and propose how PLATFORM_ should utilise these, including AI

New Scheme Launches

  • Lead on curation and production of content for new BTR schemes, including photography and videography
  • Identify requirements, source photographers, coordinate activity on site alongside building contractor, on-site team, furniture suppliers and colleagues, and review output, provide feedback, and obtain internal sign-off
  • Conduct research on target audiences, including mystery shops of other BTR and co-living schemes

Resident Engagement

  • Implement feedback initiatives, including mystery shops, NPS surveys and reviews (Google, Homeviews)
  • Deliver resident loyalty scheme, programme of on-site events, and comms for residents of all our schemes
  • Manage resident-specific channels, such as Facebook groups, Google business, Yardi apps and portals

Your Skills & Experience

  • Passionate about changing the game in the UK rental market, by owning and evolving one of the leading brands in the Build-to-Rent sector, bringing to life the experience of living with PLATFORM_ for residents and prospects
  • Able and willing to both deliver specific activity, e.g. building a website landing page, and lead strategic thinking and drive larger projects, e.g. a full website redesign and rebuild using an external agency
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptive approach to ensure the achievement of changing priorities and objectives
  • Highly organised self-starter who is adept at working with multiple stakeholders and driving projects to conclusion
  • Experience of working in a truly 360° marketing role, ideally in a founder-led small / growing business
  • Creative and idea-driven, with knowledge of using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, WordPress and similar tools
  • Innovative with a positive attitude towards embracing new technology, such as AI
  • Previous experience in residential property, hospitality, or similar B2C sector
  • A degree in Marketing or CIM qualification is desirable, but not essential
