About IRIS
IRIS Software Group is one of the UK's largest privately held software companies, trusted by 100,000+ businesses, schools and accountancy firms to keep their operations running. Our software pays 1 in 6 UK employees, supports over 12,000 schools, and is relied on by 91 of the top 100 UK accountancy firms.
We're a Great Place to Work® certified employer, recognised for our commitment to well-being, inclusion and development - and we're growing fast.
At IRIS Software Group, we create software that helps organisations manage important areas of working life, including HR, payroll and recruitment.
We’re looking for a Marketing Advisor, Demand to help plan, coordinate and deliver B2B marketing campaigns for our Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions.
This is a hands-on marketing role covering campaigns, email, webinars, events, content, digital activity and reporting. You’ll help turn marketing plans into activity, work with teams across IRIS and use campaign results to understand what’s working.
It’s a great next step if you already have some marketing experience and want to build broader B2B and demand marketing expertise within a large software business.
🧾 Why This Role Matters
Our marketing needs to reach the right businesses, engage the right people and ultimately create opportunities for IRIS.
You’ll help make that happen.
You’ll support campaigns aimed at HR, Payroll, Finance and Recruitment professionals, helping us promote software that organisations rely on every day.
From an email campaign or webinar through to an event or digital campaign, you’ll help keep activity organised, accurate and moving – while tracking the results and helping us learn what works.
👥 About the Team You'll Join
You’ll join our HCM Demand Marketing team, working with colleagues across Demand Marketing, Product Marketing, Digital, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing Operations, as well as external agencies and partners.
Marketing is changing quickly, particularly through AI, search and the way buyers research software. We’re adapting with it, testing new approaches while staying focused on activity that delivers results.
You’ll have experienced marketers around you, but you’ll also have room to contribute your own ideas – whether that’s improving an email journey, helping shape a webinar, testing a campaign idea or spotting something interesting in the data.
The team is spread across the UK, so this role can be remote, with occasional travel for team meetings. Being within reach of Manchester or Slough would be useful, but isn’t essential.
📊 What You'll Be Doing
You’ll support marketing activity from planning through to delivery and results.
That will include:
- Supporting integrated B2B marketing campaigns across our HCM products and audiences.
- Helping set up, schedule and coordinate campaigns across email, digital, paid media, social, content and partner marketing.
- Supporting webinars and events, including registration, promotion, attendee information, follow-up and reporting.
- Coordinating copy, creative assets, briefs and approvals with colleagues and external partners.
- Helping create and distribute emails, landing pages, social content and campaign materials.
- Working with Sales, Product Marketing, Digital and Customer Success to gather information and keep campaigns progressing.
- Maintaining campaign plans, calendars, briefs and trackers so deadlines and actions are clear.
- Building your understanding of our customers and helping ensure campaigns reach the right audiences with relevant messages.
- Gathering and checking campaign data and maintaining dashboards and reports.
- Tracking results such as email engagement, webinar attendance, campaign responses, leads and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
- Producing simple summaries of what happened, what performed well and what we could improve next time.
- Contributing ideas to improve campaigns, processes and how the team works.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll ideally have:
- Experience working in marketing, campaigns, events, communications or a related role.

- Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo or similar CRM and marketing platforms.
- Experience using Canva, project management or campaign planning tools.
- A Marketing, Business, Communications or related qualification.
You don’t need to tick every box. We’re interested in people who have a good marketing foundation and want to continue building their expertise.
🚀 Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to move beyond supporting just one area of marketing and gain experience across the full campaign journey.
You’ll get hands-on exposure to B2B campaigns, email, digital marketing, webinars, events, content, CRM and performance reporting, while learning from experienced marketing specialists.
