Marketing Executive

We are looking to recruit a Marketing Executive, who has a passion for marketing and community building, to join our dynamic, growing Engagement (Marketing) Team. At Literacy Counts, we are dedicated to improving outcomes for children in reading and writing. Our multi award-winning resources and expert consultancy support schools in enhancing their English curriculum. We are passionate about empowering educators to help all children reach their potential.

Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Starting at £27,000 per anum
Location: Office based, Chester City Centre


About the Role

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Campaigns & Storytelling Executive to bring the Literacy Counts brand to life through engaging campaigns and authentic storytelling. In this role, you will plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, support product launches and create compelling content that raises brand awareness, promotes our products and showcases the impact of Literacy Counts in schools.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver marketing campaigns and support product launches.
  • Create engaging content for social media, including photography and video.
  • Develop case studies and school success stories.
  • Manage website content and deliver email campaigns.
  • Improve SEO, AEO and online visibility.
  • Build and nurture online communities.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Engagement and Consultancy teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication and content creation skills who is passionate about making a difference in education.


Essential

  • Experience planning and delivering marketing campaigns.
  • Strong content creation skills across social media, websites and email.
  • Experience creating and editing photography and video content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to learn new skills for the role.

Desirable

  • Experience working in education or with schools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SEO, AEO and website optimisation.
  • Experience building online communities and brand advocacy.
  • Ability to analyse campaign performance and identify improvements.
  • A qualification in marketing, communications or a related field.
