Young Somerset is looking for a passionate Marketing Graduate to join our Central Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across digital marketing, communications, branding, content creation and campaign delivery while playing a key role in promoting our innovative Young Somerset App.
From day one, you’ll have the chance to shape our digital presence and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about creating positive change.
About the Role
As our Marketing Graduate, you’ll take the lead in developing and promoting the Young Somerset App, helping it become the go-to digital platform.
Alongside this, you’ll support the planning and delivery of engaging marketing campaigns that promote our services, recruit volunteers and staff, support fundraising and showcase the incredible impact Young Somerset makes every day.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the promotion and ongoing development of the Young Somerset App
- Creating engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters and digital campaigns
- Producing graphics, photography and video content
- Supporting fundraising, recruitment and awareness campaigns
- Maintaining website content and marketing materials
- Monitoring campaign performance and reporting on insights
- Working with colleagues, young people and external partners to tell inspiring stories
- Helping to develop and protect the Young Somerset brand
About You
We’re looking for someone who is creative, enthusiastic and ready to learn.
You’ll ideally have:
- A degree (or expected degree) in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, Business or a related subject
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for digital marketing and social media
- Experience using Canva or similar design software
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence managing multiple projects
- A proactive attitude and willingness to bring fresh ideas
It would be great if you also have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, website content management systems, Google Analytics, SEO, photography, video editing or app marketing—but these aren’t essential.

The salary is £31,263 fte
Hours
37 hours per week
Holiday entitlement
27 days, plus 8 Bank Holidays (pro rata for part time staff), with an additional 5 days after 5 years service (pro rata for part time staff)
