The role

The Tenth is looking for a senior growth and marketing lead to own the commercial performance of everything we do to reach women, and to build the work rather than brief it out.

We have real momentum. We have been written about in Vogue, The Times, The Telegraph, The London Standard, Condé Nast Traveler, and Sunday Times Style without ever paying for a placement. We work in partnership with Mandarin Oriental. Our audience is growing.

The mandate is commercial: grow bookings and memberships across every product line, own the plan and the budget behind it, and own the numbers.

At three days a week that means being in the detail and driving, as much as leading.

About The Tenth

The Tenth is building the care infrastructure for pregnancy and postpartum. Today that is residential recovery programmes at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, at-home programmes, single expert sessions, and Circles, our recurring community membership. There is a lot more coming.

We are eighteen months old and clinically led. Our founding obstetric advisor is one of the UK’s leading obstetricians.

Postpartum care in the UK effectively ends at a single check around six weeks. We exist because recovery does not.

How the role works

You will direct our external partners and be accountable for their output. Your job is to make them work to one plan, with clear targets.

Some relationships are held by the founder and by colleagues, and you would work alongside them as their marketing counterpart.

You would be working directly with the founder, who stays close to press and brand.

What you will own

The plan

  • The marketing calendar across every channel, built around our product moments and campaign priorities.
  • Budget allocation across channels, and the argument for why it sits where it does.
  • Monthly performance reporting across every channel.

The channels

  • Paid media. Own the agency’s targets and their performance against them.
  • PR. Work alongside the founder on PR, and own what happens to coverage once it lands.
  • Social. Instagram against a strategy, and LinkedIn.
  • Email. Brand and targeted campaigns, which you build yourself.
  • Influencer and partnerships.
  • Substack.
  • Marketing to our professional and clinical network, including the collateral and the measurement behind it.
  • Events, commercially. How they are promoted, and what happens in the fortnight afterwards.
  • Website conversion. The conversion path across our product pages and enquiry journeys. We work with a developer who implements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we are looking for

  • Commercially numerate. You can open a paid media report, work out whether it is working, and say so plainly. You talk in cost per enquiry and contribution, not reach.
  • You are as comfortable doing the work as directing it, whether that is a campaign email, a landing page or a brief.
  • You have run acquisition for a considered, high-value purchase, and for a low-price recurring one, because we sell both. Direct-to-consumer, premium services, wellness, hospitality or consumer health.
  • Experience launching a new product or line and taking it to market.
  • You have managed agencies and freelancers and you are a good client: clear briefs, defined targets, honest reviews, and you have ended a relationship that was not working.
  • Seven or more years in marketing, with at least two leading a function rather than a single channel.
  • You write well, and you have judgement about tone. We speak to women at a vulnerable point in their lives, and marketing that would work for a supplement brand would damage us.
  • You understand our customer. Not the clinical side, we have specialists for that, but what those first months actually feel like and why so much marketing aimed at new mothers misses.

What this role is not

  • It is not a brand identity role. Our visual identity and positioning are established and are not being redefined.
  • It is not a content or social execution role, although you will direct both.
  • It is not a strategy role that hands plans to other people. Three days a week means you will do as well as decide.
  • It is not a coordination role. Directing suppliers is a means of getting work done, not the work itself.
  • Success here is measured in bookings and memberships, not in reach.

Terms

  • Freelance, through your own limited company.
  • Three days a week, with scope to increase to four as the remit grows.
  • Those three days are spread across the working week rather than worked as a block. Suppliers, campaigns and press moments need attention most days, so we need you reachable across the week rather than present for three consecutive days and absent for two. How you shape the hours is up to you.
  • Twelve month engagement, with one month’s notice on either side at any point.
  • London based, hybrid, with some in-person time each week.
  • Reporting directly to the founder.

We will talk through the first ninety days, the team and our external partners in detail when we speak.

How to apply

Email people@tenthwellness.com with:

  • Your CV or LinkedIn profile.
  • Your day rate. We have not published one because we are open to considering a range of levels. Tell us your usual day rate and, if it differs, what you would expect for a twelve month engagement at three days a week.
  • Short answers to two questions:
  1. Tell us about a time you read a performance report and changed or stopped the spend. What did the numbers say, what did you do, and what happened?
  2. Tell us about a marketing function you took from disjointed to coherent. What was broken, what you changed, and how you knew it had worked.

Please keep both answers short. We are looking for how you think, not a document.

Applications go directly to our founder and every one is read.
