Company Description
Echo Correspondence is a Vienna-based artist residency and curatorial platform supporting international artists, curators, and researchers through residencies, exhibitions, commissions, publications, and public programmes.
Since its founding in 2021, Echo Correspondence has focused on experimental, research-driven work across contemporary art, sound, performance, architecture, film, and critical inquiry. Operating across a network of studios, exhibition spaces, and historically significant sites in Vienna, it engages with themes such as ecology, memory, migration, technology, and socio-political realities.
Through international collaborations and site-specific projects, Echo Correspondence connects emerging and established practitioners with Vienna’s cultural landscape, offering time, space, production support, and opportunities for long-term exchange.
Role Description
The Marketing Intern will support the development and execution of marketing initiatives that promote Echo Correspondence’s programmes and projects. This part-time, can be hybrid or remote, with the possibility of working on-site with us in Vienna. It involves assisting with research, audience analysis, and the creation of materials for digital and print channels. The intern will help maintain social media accounts, contribute to newsletters and website updates, and support campaign planning aligned with the organisation’s curatorial and residency activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the team to track engagement metrics, preparing reports on outreach performance, and assisting with communication to partners, participants, and audiences. The role may also involve occasional support at events, ensuring consistent messaging and a positive experience for visitors and collaborators.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage effectively with artists, partners, and audiences. English. German is a plus but not a must.
- Ability to conduct Market Research and interpret findings to inform outreach and audience development.
- Foundational Marketing Strategy and Sales skills to support campaigns and promote programmes.
- Interest in contemporary art, cultural programming, or creative industries, with a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and basic digital marketing tools; experience with content creation is an advantage.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working on-site in the London Area, United Kingdom, and collaborating in an international, intercultural setting.
- Relevant academic background or training in Marketing, Communications, Cultural Studies, or a related field is beneficial.
