Make an impact through meaningful commercial communications
Are you a commercially minded and creative marketing professional who enjoys turning projects into engaging stories and promotional opportunities?
As Marketing Lead - Commercial, you’ll shape how we communicate our funded projects, helping to grow awareness of Principality Building Society within the residential development finance, commercial property lending and affordable housing sectors.
You’ll own communications across a range of channels, planning content and campaigns that engage target audiences and generate qualified leads. You’ll also help deliver our Commercial client contact strategy, developing consistent and effective communication materials that strengthen existing client relationships and attract new clients to the Society.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work with key business stakeholders and channel specialists to develop and deliver an integrated marketing and communications plan that strengthens the Principality’s brand in the commercial lending sector.
- You will manage the planning, delivery and optimisation of marketing communications content and assets to meet channel, brand and commercial business objectives.
- You will lead the creation of high quality content including case studies, client success stories, relationship manager / senior leader thought leadership and video content.
- You will identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness and increase commercial opportunities within each project lifecycle.
- You will provide communication support for Principality Commercial’s client business contact strategy.
- You will work independently, with channel specialists and Principality colleagues, including, where appropriate, branches. You will monitor market trends, competitor activity and client insights to inform communication strategies.
- Identifying evaluation mechanisms for all business communication activities, reporting on performance against these measures and identifying opportunities for improvements will be a key element of the role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
