This role is part of Alcon's Marketing function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels, including through traditional Marketing strategies, event planning, and professional education.

Job Overview

The Manager, Vision Care Product/Brand Marketing - Downstream (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans, conducting market research, and analysing the market performance and competitive products to achieve company objectives. Ensuring consistency of messaging, message recall is strong (and course correcting where necessary), being curious within the market to understand dynamics and implementing strategies and tactics to grow the Alcon water innovation business. A typical day in this role will include:

  • Support in the development of short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for Water Innovation lenses
  • Utilise available data and conduct competitive analysis to create actionable insights
  • Creation/localisation of sales decks and materials to ensure consistency of messaging and ease of recall, and analysis of materials and barriers captured to ensure feedback captured and improved made for best outcome.
  • Develop strategic marketing strategies
  • Create marketing toolkits to best communicate our brands and messaging and regularly analyse performance to recommend improvements
  • Execute strategic marketing plans both offline and online
  • Conduct comprehensive market data analysis to make informed business decisions
  • Calculate ROI on all Marketing led activities
  • Manage external agencies
  • Ensure efficient, timely, and accurate reporting of sales and marketing reports
  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements

What you’ll bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years relevant experience
  • Experience in the Ophthalmology industry is a plus for this role, we are looking for someone with experience in a regulated industry as a must
  • Commercial sales experience, Marketing knowledge & experience as well as an operational mindset
  • Fluent English
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence strongly across cross-functional teams.
  • Happy to work 5 days per week in Camberley
