CommonAI CIC is a non-profit membership organisation, founded on a belief in collaborative engineering for the safe and responsible development of foundational AI technologies. A place where AI startups, enterprises large and small, public sector bodies and academia can share resources and knowledge, to codevelop and grow businesses, fast.
We are led by experienced founders, investors and engineers who believe that collaborative engineering drives faster AI innovation and are backed by a mix of UK Government and private funding in order to design, build and deploy innovative AI systems.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing initiatives, execute multi-channel campaigns, and support membership growth across our key programmes - the Scaling Inference Lab and High Assurance programme. In this role, you will develop and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies designed to increase CommonAI brand awareness, acquire new members, and optimise engagement.
The ideal candidate blends creative vision with analytical rigour, demonstrating proven expertise across digital marketing, content strategy, campaign execution, and performance tracking. You will collaborate closely with community and partnerships teams to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals.

What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and manage integrated marketing strategies that align with company growth targets
- Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel promotional campaigns
- Manage the annual marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently across channels to achieve maximum return on investment (ROI)
- Oversee content strategy, including web copy, blog posts, whitepapers, email newsletters, and sales enablement assets
- Manage organic and paid social media strategies across relevant platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube)
- Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all internal and external communication channels
- Collaborate cross-functionally with members, partnerships and community teams to align messaging and pipeline generation strategies and launch new promotional campaigns
- Direct public relations efforts, media partnerships and industry event participation
- Track, analyse, and report on key marketing performance metrics (KPIs) and continuously optimise conversion funnels
- Deliver monthly and quarterly performance presentations to leadership with actionable recommendations
- Oversee external vendor, agency, and freelancer relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with project deadlines

Requirements
- Relevant marketing experience, gained from a similar type of organisation
- Demonstrated track record of scaling demand generation and member/customer acquisition programs
- Strong analytical skillset with an ability to translate raw data into strategic decisions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven project management capabilities
- Strong working knowledge of web analytics tools
- Hands-on experience managing paid advertising channels
Preferred
- Degree or MBA in Marketing or relevant field
- Design proficiency with basic graphic tools
- Direct experience in AI, software or related industry
- Proficiency with CRM, Marketing Automation and content management software
