Are you an experienced Marketing Manager who combines strong strategic thinking with a genuinely hands-on approach?
We are working with an established and highly regarded business located just outside of Cambridge who are looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to lead its marketing function through an exciting period of growth and digital development.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and leading a small marketing team, this is a broad and influential role where you will have the opportunity to shape brand strategy, drive digital performance and introduce new ways of working across the marketing function.
A key part of the role will be the effective use of AI within marketing. We are therefore looking for someone who is already actively using AI to improve research, content creation, customer insight, creative production and marketing efficiency rather than someone who has simply experimented with it.
The Role
As Marketing Manager, you will:
- Develop and deliver the overall marketing and brand strategy
- Create annual marketing plans aligned with commercial and growth objectives
- Lead, mentor and develop a small marketing team
- Use AI and emerging technology to improve market research, customer insight and marketing effectiveness
- Develop AI-assisted workflows to improve productivity and reduce repetitive manual activity
- Oversee digital marketing including SEO, PPC, email, social media and website activity
- Drive e-commerce performance through content, conversion optimisation and analytics
- Develop engaging content across digital channels, campaigns, case studies and supporting materials
- Lead integrated campaigns, launches, promotions and events
- Use customer, competitor and market data to identify new commercial opportunities
- Manage external agencies, suppliers and media partners
- Work closely with Sales and other internal teams to ensure marketing activity delivers measurable commercial value
- Present marketing performance, insight and recommendations to senior leadership

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
